racing here seems rather unregulated so i seriously doubt if this fuel will catch on in the racing community. perhaps the plane flyers or heli flyers might be interested.
i mean, we dunt even use in-boxes or the trash cans at the track, dunt talk about other environment issues.
i suppose this could be used to delude ourselves into thinking we have an environmentally sound hobby. it won't be till you racers start to use them.
gripe gripe...

Alamak pervert, u need a bio-ethanol engine oso 2 run on that fuel lah.
Doubt u can run a current methanol engine with it.

Interesting... We wait for "Bio" class buggy race now??

Eh... okay, first to qualify, I am not a chemist and I fail my 'O' level chemistry, it is my physics that help me clear my Science paper.
But this was what I know and Wikipedia seem to confirm it too; methanol is a biofuel - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methanol
And the by product after methanol is burnt is water. That is why we need empty our engines of fuel and oil them if we are going to shelf them for more than a week. Methanol is also 'eferlescent' <probably spelt wrong> but it means that it naturally absorbs water.
As for the other stuff in our fuel, I'm not too sure if they are bio-derived, so there are their Wikipedia links:
Nitromethane for power: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitromethane
Acetone as a binding agent between Methanol and Nitromethane: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acetone
Caster oil or synthetic oil for lubrication.
There is also an anti foam agent to prevent our fuel from foaming, especially in off-road racing.
There is also a cocktail of coolant agents to help cool our engines, especially those with 30% Nitro content.

the only problem is, your racing engine will NOT run well with this fuel. because it is designed to run nitro, the combustion chamber is designed to allow a larger combustion.
fuel with no nitro requires a smaller combustion chamber to produce the same amount of power. this is because nitro adds oxygen into the chamber, thus burning the fuel more completely.
the bio fuel is simply a clean method of obtaining the methanol. from fermentation of crops ( say beer) not from mineral oil. because there is only natural oils for lubrication, and methanol burns away into water, this new fuel is "clean"
if the engine manufacturer produces a underhead specially for this fuel, it might still work.
still, you won't get the same power or idling from using nitro based fuels.
in the past, we used to run 0% nitro fuel for planes and helis, power output is totally different.
i say this really is a practice in futility unless it's crazily enforced.

soonest!
no time at all!
just that the race schedule for 1/8th clashes with TAC.
pity really.
i'd have joined both!
