First thing you need to decide on is
GP or EP
then
Offroad or onroad.

Personally I think EP is more forgiving than GP.
Generally plug and play. No engine to tune hehe
I spent considerable amount of time trying to tune my engines last time.
Then again, GP got no batteries to charge haha
Now I spend time charging my batteries.
Looks like you're in for a tough choice.

As for onroad or offroad, that you gotta see what interests you.
It might even come down to the kakis you play with. Go with the flow.

try going down queen's town club tomorrow, they are holding the tamiya asia cup series 4 at RCI track http://www.racecraftrc.com/track_rci.html perhaps you can take a look at some ep cars there...

you can also go down to turf city & check the gp cars by the old race course...
