Default Just some info...

Hi ppl..

Just wanna say a few things, if i'm not mistaken the handout stock motorz are hpi 23T. NO changes to the motorz are allowed, this i'm certain... but i also heard that actually someone else used hara'z name(why..?? i don't know).. coz the rezultz were actually directly from the race. That'z why u see his name wayyyy... down in the finalz. He didnt even participated in the stock class/stock class finals. Well if anyone else can cofirm this pls do so coz thiz would be injustice for hara himself.

Actually a lot of the top driverz intended too participate in the stock class but due to the ultra STRICT time schedule, they bailed out in the last minute. Too hectic..

hi all,

i think we made a big mistake by jumping into conclusion that Hara is the same as A.Hara from HPI.

We all make mistake too.

Sorry once again.

Greetings. Indeed, Atsushi hara from HPI did NOT have a good run for stock, and concentrated on modified only. Should seen the tactics used to to keep hara away from surikarn ;-) Now i'm a fan of both of 'em, but it's very obvious hara's car can chase up to surikarn very very very easily. I ran both stock and mod, very very hectic schedule, but somehow after the practice rounds on friday, i was able to fit the stock and mod routine into the qualifying. I'll post pictures tonight! Got some crazy things going on like Adachi from yokomo chasing Hara with a packet of durians The japanese were going wild after the race, but my batteries for my camera ran out so didn't take what was going on hehehehe

HPI's Super Stock 23T RS is a really excellent motor..... commutator is of pretty good quality IMHO, and with a CORE can.... tough cookie i tell ya...

Yup handouts were used....maybe Hara is too spoilt with good Orion motors..bear in mind they never make 23T.
Anyway it's my theory only...not fact.

cheers..

RetroTamiya:

Ey dude, told you RCS was topnotch hobby shop didnt i? looking at the pics now, it seems like only yesterday i was there for the 2001 Tamiya Asia Cup. I miss the track already...

By the way, i think the "gal" in the pics is the daughter of the track owner or the owner of the canteen... we met her during the Tamiya Asia Cup...

I gotta find the dough to book a ticket to Thailand and just visit the track and shop just for old times sake...

hey,
Tommi, it was really a great track with plenty of babes to keep your eyes wide awake. hehehe........ considering we have a hectic stock and modified qualifying and final runs. It was really damn tiring. We have to run 5 free practice of stock and mdified and 4 controlled practice of stock and modified on Friday. The sequence was like stock then modified. Then on Sat we have to run like another set of controlled practice of stock and modified and then we have to go through another 4 heats of stock and modified. Then come sunday was a little bit more relaxed with only one final heats and one Finals to run. the tyre wear out is incredible but traction was super high that Hara was having traction roll during his practice.
