Here's the summary so far
High speed = high end = shorter length = smaller divergance angle
High torque = low end = longer length = larger divergence angle
More to add??
How about diameter of belly?
Fatter belly = better torque
Slimmer belly = better high speed

eh .........
Based on the anlogy here and what I see on the tracks, I would say it is a good pipe to have ..... so is 5star, novarossi, CVEC, Zac.... (to be fair to other pipes)
Been doing some reading, trying to find out which pipe is best for my engine, track, weather bla bla bla...... There is no such thing as a perfect pipe
So, end of the day, have to buy one and try Inventory goes up and $ goes down
Another thing to do is to suck some experiences from the experts.
Thanks you all for the info so far.
Shall keep sucking for more info.
Cheers

Bottle...i couldn't agree anymore further than what you say...indeed want to know the performance must buy and use it..
hey i got lobang for some pipes....check your PM

Longer pipe length = better torque
Shorter pipe length = high speed
Shorter pipe length = high speed
Shorter Stinger = higher speed
longer Stinger = better torque
But Ifmar have a restriction on minimun Stinger length.
But I believe the manifold also make a difference.
And I have being looking for the RB #1351-02P conical Manifold but no-where got stock......

Can anyone recommend a good pipe around $50-60?
Also please state whether its more for torque or top speed and where I can get it.
thanks

Wah pian .....
Stinger length also make a diff
If IMAR has a restriction on the min stinger length, so, the shorter the better?
How about no stinger?
Speaking of no stinger, how about dented pipes? Is there great difference in performance?
When I've got lots of dents, the car feels slightly sluggish. Maybe engine requries tuning.
After operation freezer, performance is better than dented, but not as good as new.
Maybe should look for a tougher pipe that don't dent so easily
Hi EiKuD
Hopely can get comments on a wide range of pipe here
This is a definately a win-win-win suitation
Pipe owner wins - everyone else win - lhs biggest winner
Cheers

Also even there are no dent, as carbon built up in the pipe, the performance also drop.
And some pipe have very high back pressure which will make you tune the engine very lean which is not good.
There are so many things about pipe.....so for me, just use the cheapest and most popular pipe.

Pipes
Hi, I have tried Kyosho, ZAC & SGG5. These have been tried with diff. engines in PA & MS. From what I noticed is that a particular pipe behaves differently with different engines, tuning & tracks.
Personal opinion is to get an all-round pipe that provides respectable grant throughout the powerband so that you could enjoy yourself at any of the local tracks with some minor fine tuning of the engine to control the characteristic here & there.
Hope this is useful!

learnt some lessons here. Good thing no need schools fees
Now looking at ways to save $
Anyone tried to modify the pipe?
Something like shortening the stinger and inlet?
Got improvement?
Oh.... does adding a exhaust deflector affect performance?
Does carbon build up in the pipe?
Is it like 2-stroke motorcycle that carbon deposit can be found on the piston and exhaust pipe?
So far yet to see any carbon build up on my piston. Not sure about the pipe, can't see la...

Got any tips on what type of pipe design saves fuels?
I always believe that power up, fuel efficiency down and via versa. Either ends are no good.

True, when the pipe is dented, even when you recover it, the performance drop.
The material will affect the performace too. softer pipes have better all round power due to less restriction to expandsion.
Also even there are no dent, as carbon built up in the pipe, the performance also drop.

I just think to the extreme... let my imagination run wild and out of the box, but most of the time not realistic
Here's another one
Softer material is better due to the ability to expand. A good high speed pipe will end up a good high torque pipe after some running True?
