How did you do the lights like that5? They look really nice.
Also, what did you use for the masking? I just finished my first airbrushed body using liqued mask, and am not 100% happy with the outcome.
Thanks,
Griffin

You can just see that the highlights on the globe sections are slightly different....

Hi all,
For most of them I use masking tape to cut out the circle to be the mask, it provides flexibility on the size of the circle.. but I don't think I can make that unique with only the airbrush... but some of you guys have the right answer, I only use for the inner side. When you see some sharp lines on my bodies, those lines were made by masks, when blur lines made by airbrush.. I hope I can explain it well, since I have had some drink... and feeling dizzy......
Besides I don't use paint marker as it sometimes destory the Acrylic paint finishing since I use faskolor the most, and I can never draw a perfect line with those marker.....
I'll think about going to the commercial, but I have to work harder on my online hobby shop first.. I plan to open it on Feb 2004.... but till in progress now... as well as the "tips and tricks" area in my web site................. I m a slow man when without my RC car...
Griffin,
I think liquid mask is better then what I use, I use Tamiya 40mm masking tape and some "Nichiban (Square)" masking tape as well, since liquid mask is a bit too messy.... but liquid mask will be a bit cheaper then tape.. I think I have to put on arround USD0.8 tape on the body, but only arround USD0.4 for liquid mask, and the outcome will be better as well. So just keep on using liquid mask if you are ok with the mess....
Hope the picture can further explain how the lights made, the red arrow shows those I have to put masks on, and blue arrow represents those I airbrush it by hand:
