Default 2004 Winternats

This is the second largest R/C event in Florida (Snowbirds is obviously the biggest ever). Racers (private and team drivers) from all over the world come to this track in Fort Myers, FL for the second week in February to put the smack down on each other!

It's being held during the week of February 8-14, 2004

I am waiting to hear back from Jim Rice about the T shirts. I'm not sure if he's gonna use that logo or something else.

As far as the schedule:

February 8-9: Practice

February 10-12: 2 rounds of qualifying each day, totalling 6 rounds

February 13: Lower mains (C main and below)

February 14: A & B mains.

Track opens usually at 9 am. But you can get there much earlier (round 7 am) and set up if you like

Tent Space

Hi jpilone,

Just wanted to clarify if the Tent Space Rent is just for the
space or will it be under one big tent covering the Pit Area?

It's one giant tent set up with tables and chairs.

Well worth the money if you aren't a local racer and can tote around your canopy and stuff.

Thank you for the info.
If one has already signed up but did not
include the Tent Space Fee, can he just
send over an additional $30?

If so, what kind of paper should we include
with the check so the organizers may know
what it's for.?

Thank you again for the prompt response.

Email the race director, Jim Rice, at [email protected]

If you sent in another copy of the reg. form along with the $30 check, just write a note with it stating you wanted the tent space as well and you already registered.

1/8 scale Looks to be the Popular One this yr. I Like it.

I sure hope someone videos this event. They would have my Purchase.

Jarrod . Do you know of anyone who might do that?

I can confirm that Mike Myers and myself are covering the event for RC Car Action, but not for a videographer. I'll mention something to Mike and see what he thinks.

Hi Jarod,

Any idea when the entry lists will be published. I think my pitman has found some hotel at $45-50 per night. I will post more on this when I get it confirmed.
