Default Control line plane - video clip

On the weekend, i took some footage of the NSW title control line plane racing which was at Penrith lakes. The day i went, was the speed planes - fastest wins!

Here is a clip of one of the planes that was clocked at around 270km/h, it was so fast i couldnt keep up with it!

ps: listen to how loud it is when the pipe is on song with the engine.

Here is the clip - RIGHT CLICK AND SELECT SAVE TARGET AS

Here is what the plane looks like

yeah ive watched a pylon race (no control line) they also have 1 prop end.. apparently its faster because of less drag etc etc.. Dave trust me once you have one go of a heli you'll love it..

to be honest, that looks like one of the more pointless hobbies going around, agreed, something like a cool helicopter would be much more fun, u want to have fun with something attatched to a line, take the dog for a walk

Well, some updated info, the plane in the clip was only clocked at around 170Kmh (as it got on pipe) but cut out shortly after due to being too rich on the mixture. Yes, it has got only one blade on the prop and as for being unbalance, it has a counter weight inside the spinner to keep it balanced. They do this to reduce drag in the front so the plane slips through the air, same with the wing.

dynolab - we gotta talk, i need some info.
