My Mistral is apparently the version before the 17, what differences between the two? I should start building today if it gets here

Mistral 2017 represent an important departure from the “Black” version, sporting the new imperial Fenix Sphere diff which incorporate a lot of premium features such as:
- 1/4” Grade 5 Titanium axle
- Triple ball bearing
- No Axial load on the bearings
- Thrust bearing as standard
- No contact between ball bearing and thurst bearing
- 16 Ceramic spheres
- Large support to the diff rings
- 84 teeth 64sp spurgear CNC made
- Triple spring disk
- Just 38 grams

Mistral 2017 is also featuring:
Full titanium turnbuckles
New front arms geometry - with one more option
Dual side damper
Inline/backtrail steering upright
Longer titanium kingpin to accommodate aftermarket front springs
Special Fenix Shock absorber with dual speed stroke

Of course... existing Mistral is upgradeable to 2017 spec!

Thanks Giorgio! Just got it in the mail and started. Can you provide a PDF or something for the instructions? Mine doesn't have them included.

Almost done building, have the shock left to put in and that is all. Impressed with the front end. It went together a lot quicker than I would have thought and the servo mount up high is a nice touch. Can't wait for the weekend.

Ran my Mistral for the first time this weekend. And after some growing pains on the black carpet I got it dialed in a bit and set some decent lap times. I had a few traction roll issues that we got sorted out but I want to tweak them some more so I can get on the throttle sooner and harder coming out of faster corners. All in all I like it.

The black carpet blues lol. I run mine on black carpet. From kit settings I have done the following

Tighten rear diff
Stiffer side springs
Softer front springs
Remove front droop
Add rear droop
Lighter oil in damper tubes
Yokomo med spring on shock
50 weight oil in shock
Battery slid forward
Front inner camber link lowered 5mm
Front arm stiffener
Montech front wing
Crc tires glued sidewalls front and rear
Front toe is .5 degree per side toe out.
12 degrees castor
