I run the Fantom 19turn chameleon 2 and i think they are the fastest. another good motor would probably be the storm 2 chameleon 2 from pro match.

I've spent quite a bit of time on the dyno and on the track tuning the Reedy motor and my previous suggestion gave me the best performance in a Tamiya F201 in 6 minute heats. Depending on what car you plan to run the motor in, you may find better performance by going with harder springs. Truthfully, there wasn't a lot of difference between the springs that I experimented with. I tested with 8-13oz springs as well as all of Reedy's springs which are rated in degrees. The only 19T motor that I would stay away from is the original Trinity Chameleon motor. It has a blue endbell and a silver can. The magnets are crap in that motor. Any of the newer breed of 19T motors will perform a lot better.

dg8one- hahahahahahaha... my X-Ray was slow because I had a blown bearing. that is why it would roll only about 2-3 inches with no motor in it . You will see today.. I got my ProMatch Motors Yesterday. 97 Power and 96 Power on the sheets.... You better bring your power today .

Sorry to burst somebody's bubble....but no load amp draw means nothing.
If you want to increase no load amp draw, just use CA for bearing or bushing lube.
High amp draw= brushes not broken in, bushings not broken in, comm out of round, dirty motor, bad arm, etc, etc.

Thanks for all the info. A lot of guys at our track prefer the older chameleons to the new ones as they have been more consistent power wise when buying motors than the Chameleon 2s. I picked up one and the magnets whip my chameleon 2 even with it was brand new, plus, mine was a pro edition. I am however still looking into the storm2 by promatch. The guys by me seem to run one motor per heat and have a trash one to practice with. I might do the same to keep competitive. sucks.

i been runnin my motor and i cut the comm to d limit with old brush and still pulling that much amp draw to my turbo 35
and d more i geared down d more it get faster, sat club race i end up runnin 57 tire 128 spur 30 pinion and run faster than 1st and 2nd qualifier
