Am I understanding this correctly, the Motive, R1 and TSR are the best motors atm?

Add the new red Fantom in the list . It's as fast as my TSR.

I have the Fantom FR1 V2T 17.5 and 13.5 with ceramic bearing, high gauss rotor and aluminum screws and I'm wondering would the new motors be noticeably better? Keep in mind I can qualify and race in the 98% consistency rage so if they are better it will help, thanks!

I owned the Fantom FR1 V2M 17.5T "the works" and now own the Fantom V3 Prospec 17.5T "the works" . It is way faster than the old FR1.

Is it worth it to buy the premium Team Scream or Fantom over the 100$ Motiv? It sounds like the Motiv motor is the best value?

This is why I went with the Motiv MC2. Drop 110.00 now (currently the lowest cost of entry for a new motor) and be competitive. I am sure things will change in 6 months, and we will have this conversation again.

Also in terms of service I had emailed Motiv (Paul) with some general questions, I have gotten response within hours. Nice.

That's what I'm thinking, it sounds like it is a stronger motor than my V2T...

I have seen the new red can phantom. They r fast for sure. But the r1 v16 blew them away. I was impressed enough to replace mt v1 maclan and order me an r1 today.

because your V2T is an older batch compared to the MC2. The new Fantom V3 however is another story. I also have the Motiv MC2 ... it is torquey but lacks top end unlike the new Fantom and TSR motors which has both. But I heard Motiv is coming out with a new motor soon.

I just switched from an MC2 to a monster max. The monster max is so much better, lower IR's, more acceleration and top speed.
I run these in 2wd buggies...
