Default 2017 OS Speed R2103 3.5cc Nitro On Road Engine

Features a newly designed crankshaft and a new piston and liner. Compared to the R2102 engine the R2103 will offer more low to mid-range torque and this is why the engine comes with a standard steel main bearing as these are meant to further improve torque characteristics.

This time may leave the bearing the same as previous, and what else?
Look nice!

So as I say... commercial bulsh*t.

But I do find it a positive thing that a manufacturer dares to say the steel bearing is the right one, ceramics are so over rated. And what is a new designed crakshaft? If you put it next to one of a 2102 it will probably look the same. But the extra low/mid torque says there is something done with the timings

They may also trying to be more price competitive, ceramics cost a bunch more and their engines are already expensive. Novarossi can be had for over $100 less than their product and with ceramics installed.

Have a look at some of the videos of the track for this WC. It is all bottom end, and the manufacturers (OS and Picco) have done some timing adjustments to suit.

Im with Roelof on this... seems to me that OS is trying to keep a fresh image. Dont get me wrong i love OS and thats what I run in on-road and off-road. But so many other manufacturers are rebadging Offroad OS mills with perhaps a few tweaks... Then OS drops a "new mill" which is not all that different than the predessesors...

This new R2103 will continue with 7 ports or will be an evolution to a 9 ports.
7 + 1 or 9 + 1?
7 + 3 or 9 + 3?
3 exhaust ports or only 1 exhaust ports?

A pre-world was driven so I asume someone had tested different timed 2102 engines to determ what is right for the 2103 model.

Nah, I'll stick to Novarossi. At least I know my engine will always make a 5 minute qualifier Gotta admire their marketing though...

Ielasi Tuned Novarossi which is based on the 9-port Mito WC. Easy 5:30 with this engine. My buddy has the Mito WC and gets comparable milage.

Yes. Much like Picco too. Both very fast when new but quickly drop off.

I had 15 os motors since the black heads ones came out and never not one ever lost a drop of compression!!! one motor had 18 gallons and the lap times were identical from gallon 1 to 18 and only used 4 rods it was insane!!
