Default M03R TCS legal for 2017.....Questions?

I was planning on trying a TCS race in Jersey (August) with my Euro Semi-Truck and hopefully my M03R. I read the rules and they said M05-M07 platforms, so my question is could I enter my M03R that I just scored yesterday? Also since I'm on a budget it has a COLT Vitz/Yaris body. So my next question is since this car is mega old, would they let me run that since M03 bodies are hard to find? Thanks in advance for any replies.

m03 bodies are not hard to get
the car came available 3 different wheelbases just like m05
they share the same bodies and it is NOT legal for jackson tcs.
just texted the race director

Ok so the Tamiya bodies still work but the M03 itself is not TCS legal anymore?

My hand to you for your bravery trying to enter a race with M03!!! That thing looked so beautiful when I saw it in my uncle's hands. Don't even remember when lol.

Well I always wanted a mini and so this M03R popped up yesterday at my track for a great price, so I figured why no try the TCS race in Jersey with my Euro-Semi Truck and this min. I know would get smoked but I was looking forward to the whole TCS experience. I hope to get clarification on M03R being legal for this race. If not I will just sit this race out. Its a descent drive and not worth it just for one class.

Sorry to hear the fact that you purchased an M03r for a TCS race not knowing this chassis has been banned for the past 2+ years. IMO, it was a better handling chassis over the M05. My M03 was always faster!.

Would hate to see you miss the race because of this issue. If interested, I have a fully loaded M05 for sale $75.

M05 and M06 are very different cars. I can't see them banning the M05 any time soon as it's not discontinued.

Interesting that the M03 was banned. I don't think it would have any performance advantage over an M05/M07. Seems like a good way to stop people entering to me.

The TCS series is driven by Tamiyas goal of selling more kits. With that in mind it doesn't make a lot of sense to allow discontinued kits. Also, it's getting harder these days to find an appropriate rounded lipo that will fit it.

Well the rules were M05, M05 v2, M06 and M07 platforms only. I appreciate the offer Carl but I was able to sell the M03-R last night to a friend and scooped up an M06 from another buddy last night. I figured kit sales was a driving factor as far as platform regulations were concerned. I thank everyone for their input. This might end up being an expensive venture at the last minute : (

the m03 was introduced in 1996 it was a great car and i agree with carl giordano better than the m05 but it was time to retire at some point
the m05 came in 2009 so i guess it has a few years left in it
