I have this chassis and it has two gearbox braces and a center spline which is connected with the motormount, lower deck and the rear brace.

I think TB07 will use a similar concept. I'm very curious about this chassis. I want to know what's inside the gearbox...

The only thing i don't like so far are the lexan covers. Looks cheap.

Hopefully ewhippler can make carbon shafts for this baby..... It is going to be a performer for sure(spool/light gear diff).... Good job tamiya....
The internal ratio will need to be around 2.0 though.....

well that certainly wasn't what I was expecting
Have we seen a shaft drive race car with the forward motor like that before because I thought cars like the TB-03 VDS were aimed at drifting rather than racing

Just a comment with the bulkheads, visually they look very similar to my Evo 5 so it wouldn't surprise me if this car uses TB-03/4 gearbox internals again.
They also look quite a bit more chunky than the ones on the Evo 5

Well, they have no other job than keeping dust away. Nice, lightweight way to do that. And you can paint them to whatever color you want. Looks great to me.

I'm affraid that it will have TB04's 2.6 internals... It'll need TB-evo4 internals to get 2:1

Not really. There are a lot of small changes along with some significant differences from the exotek. The simple fact that it's an inline motor placement does not make it a copy of exotek.

I hope there will be a cf-lower deck as hop up for asphalt.

A center diff would be a nice hop up too to experiment with. But i think space between this spur gear holder arch will be too small...

Exotek might step in and create those types of hop-ups. But I'm thinking the aluminum lower deck by itself will be an advantage due to lower COG.

No, I think it's very different. Nice work on Tamiya changing things up. I will have to try 1 and compare it to the Exo6
