Default Cool stuff

As a fan of the tb03 tub car and a disappointed observer of the tb04, I think that the evo 7 and then the tb05 will sport the new suspension arms from the 419, along with ssbb shocks and low profile towers. Who knows what the drive train will be, but please no more additional gears to shim and grind.

Get that spending money ready.

I'm getting one!! (Rather my girlfriend is getting one for me as a birthday gift as she bought me my Evo6)
Wishlist:
Inline motor (Looks like it is)
Alum bulkheads
Alum/Steel crown/pinion gears in gearboxes
Black edition
And that would be all. I can even live with the long shocks!

I wish we'd see a competition level carbon car with the TA07 driveline setup!

I wonder if Mike from Exotek will shift over to that considering Tamiya is basically making his optional upgrade obsolete.

I'm going to guess a layout similar to current 4WD OffRoad buggies. Centralized Spur w/ motor mounted off front of the mount. Electronics in the rear. Possibly some new-fangled CenterGearbox to push motor (as well as Battery) as far to the center as possible. For grins, let's speculate a gearbox similar to that on the VBC Fwd car. (Which takes a page from the Tamiya M0# series of 'mini' cars but is more compact).. just because Tamiya likes to try things different..

Second thought, CentralGearbox sitting forward of chassis with motor have off rear of Gearbox..

That battery sits very far to the rear of the chassis..

I'm working on it.

By the way, Kawada has made one some time ago (about 10 years), you might still find a s/h example around (I have two).

I am also tempted! I have TB04 with Exotek conversion and it is super fast in Stock 17.5. I guess that it will have 419 suspension, SSBB dampers and probably inline motor. It seems to be the easiest and cheapest way to get new clients and keep the car competitive. Metal gears are nice but imho not needed as properly shimmed plastic ones can handle many, many races without any issue (My own experience, I have had so many troubles with gears till I shimmed them properly.)

Looking at the outline of this image, I'ld say this could be a good guess. (mid motor-ísh)
It looks quite far upfront (more then std) the servo, and 2 rectangulare (could be esc+rx) shapes at the back on the left side.
This opens the discussion a bit open as well whether they inverted the steering posts like f.i. on some F1 cars (SP-F1), to create space.
Then again it could be angle of the image and imagination getting the better of us

TB used to be the jumping platform for new TRF parts, later to be used in the 415's etc...
So hopefully we'll see some new(er) parts yet to be released,

What TAMIYA does with these silhouettes is like shaking the box on ChristmasEve

Rather interested to see more details of this car. I have an Exo-5 TB and a TB-04 I was considering building into an Exo-6. I may hold off on that until more details of the Evo 7 come out and see how it compares on paper to the exotek cars

Can we tear the corner open just to see what it is?
