What is this forum for?
After over four years, the Electric On-Road forum finally has a sub-forum!
What is this?
This is a spot for all the various manufacturer-hosted and team-specific threads to congregate. For the most part, these are outside the scope of general on-road discussion, and deserve their own space.
I own a company, can I make a thread here?
Why yes, you can and should! Interacting with the R/C Tech community is a great way to get some "street cred" with the racing community. It's also a great place for your team drivers to swap information, setups and stories.
How is this different from advertising?
Under no circumstances is any sort of retail sale, promotion, or official support to be conducted in this forum. Customer-initiated queries are perfectly fine, as are links to new products and the like, but specific information about sales is prohibited. Our Commercial Forums are reserved for this purpose.
I run ACME widgets in my car, can I talk about how great they are here?
Why certainly!
In conclusion...
At this point, this forum is sort of a beta test to see how things go. We are trying hard to avoid commercializing R/C Tech to the point that everything seems like an advertisement, and at the same time we don't want to discourage companies from using R/C Tech as a means for interacting with the RC populace.
This was actually a user-suggested idea (can't remember who came up with it) so it's also proof that, hey, we listen.
