Looks like rear shock tower has been moved down.

I wonder how this bad boy is on carpet? No aluminum Chassis option?

The retail version still mounts the shock tower at the same location as the SMJ CX11

Exactly, something wasn't working to Mark's liking so they had to make the changes. I'm sure that will end up being the V2 or an upgrade later for the car.
