Default 13.5t Blinky Motors

Hi guys,

Fantom v2 vs Orion Ultimate Stock vs Trinity Monster vs R1 Works v15

Four of (probably) the best motors out right now.

Which is best for blinky? Are there any others I've missed?

add motiv mc2, team scream, team powers, orca to the list.

whichever one you can find the perfect gearing, timing and consistency for, will be your fastest.

At my track we are getting great results out of the new muchmore and r1 v16 , they seem to match the other motors for torque out the corners but keeping to the 6 amp rule they have 2-3000 more rpm so just have that edge down a straight

I'm not running blinky but I made back-to-back testing with XR10 in auto mode.

My best five would be:
- Fantom V3r
- Fantom V2r
- Team Powers
- Shuur speed
- Trinity 24K

Check the approval list. Pick any motor approved in the last 6 months, get a fan, gear to the track and don't hit stuff.

The key thing to remember is all of these motors mentioned are and have to be built to the same spec or they will not be approved. The main difference will be machine tolerances, the can design for air flow, build precision and bearing types. The winding will be the same thickness and wire type, the stator stack will be the same height (within the limit) and the rotors are approaching true parity.

not tested that yet it lower rpm on bench test which normally means torque motor . our track (aldershot) and larger a rev type motor works out better and with muchmore v2 and r1 v16 motors seem to have best revs and really good torpue still

Have a look at nick adams youtube channel he bench tests nearly every motor even ones he doesnt stock, he looks at motor checker build rotor strength weight and more really worth a watch .

Internal resistance for 13.5t should be 20.6milliohm(10.3mohms per phase) between any two phases, as per the New Roar rules... Any motor with 10.8mohms or more per phase will be at a big disadvantage.... Get the newest 13.5t motors with lower than 10.8mohms per phase stators, and you'll be good to go....
I've seen R1 v16's, Fleta v2's, and fantom v2R &v2T in the 25 to 27mohms, and not even close to the minimum 20.6mohms, with the advantage to the V16 at 25mohms.....I guess waiting for the newer lower resistance stators might be best here or opt for the trinity big blue certified 5% stators(those are down to 10.6's per phase or 21.2's)...
