Based on some discussions with various interested people I thought this could be some general useful information for those looking to join in the RC scene who want to start with a 2wd Ready to Run (RTR) Short Course Truck.

Someone mentioned that the racers at there track pretty much uses this stuff exclusively as a chassis protector. I gave it a try at the past race and it held up quite well.

Hey Marco how's the feel for a 4x4 buggy class locally? Has it been fair for warren?

As for FM area, not sure yet, I believe Jon Carlson has one on the way and of course I have one and my daughter runs one as well.
A lot of it I think will depend on what the locals get started with and are willing to go with (assuming they don't have 1/10 4wd buggies). I think it has helped a lot in the warren area that the class has approachable and the vehicles are pretty durable at these speeds (13.5 to 10.5 motors are common). Its become one of my daughters favorite classes.
With the Track looking to be oriented towards a 1/10 scale size, they may help in turnout for that class as well.

Hey thanks guys! Has Jon said anything about imposing motor limits on 2wd and 4x4 buggy? I'm curious for my racing as well as keeping our tracks (pingree and jamestown) on the same playing field when it comes to this topic.
Good to see another option closer to home for running.

Stock buggy 17.5 class is pretty big in Warren, then pro4 & pro2 along with the 4x4 buggies, I have not seen anything different out of the guys that are new to the racing scene on different cars, so I would guess that this track will be looking at other tracks in the area to get a feel for what should happen, but talking with Jon at the last Warren race, it sounded like a short course truck day race and a possible Saturday all classes race day, but any track will tell you that you need to limit classes to get enough entries, or put a minimum entry number for the classes, so if you have any ideas, please post them up
I did ask Jon about running E truggy and E buggy on the track and no definitive answer was given as it depends on if the vehicles tear up the track of not, but I will have mine with

Hey guys, I thought I was subscribed to this thread. Guess not.
At this time I don't think there will be motor limits, except for the stock slash class. If we get a strong majority of racers asking for a 2wd buggy stock class, it's always an option.
My current thought is to have racing on Thursday nights be 2wd stock slash class, open 2wd and open 4wd short course.
Saturday morning races will be 2wd buggy, 4wd buggy, stadium truck, stock slash, 2wd and 4wd short course. 1/8 e buggy is also a thought, depending on the track.
Again, these are my ideas and it depends on what people show up with.
