Price is definitely one issue. In addition, discussion on another board has raised other concerns with these LIPO cells; most notably their limited rechargeability and tricky charge/discharge rates. I admit that it's all a bit confusing to me, seeing as how I'm just barely getting back into R/C after a 14 year hiatus.

The general consensus was that they could be fairly good packs for backyard-bashing... Assuming that you can even get them to fit inside your vehicle, as the assembled pack is quite beefy.

Most lipos are charged at 1C, which means it is charged at an amp rate = to the pack. In other words this pack can be charged at 12 amps( if your charger can deliver it) and would charge just as fast as any other lipo( 1 hour for 90% )

You could go run for 30 min, come in and dump 6000mah back in it in 30 minutes and run 30 more. Or if you just want to run for 15 min, dump 3000mah in it in 15min. There is no waiting for it to cool cause it won't get hot from charging or running since it can deliver 144amp constant. You would see lots more power because there will be virtually no voltage drop under load.

I have an 8000mah lipo and it's the only battery I need. I can get more runtime out of this pack than all my NIHMs combined because there is no discharging or cooling and it charges fast at 8 amps.

As you can see I'm a big lipo fanboy and recommend them to anyone who is mature enough to handle them properly.

I run the Scorpion 6400 in my Losi XXX-4 and love it. Charge before the race and run for about 30 min no problem. No discharging or anything...
