Yes, but King Headz makes all of these parts also and you can get the brass bushings off of carolinasrc to go in them, their real nice pieces and fit great. That upper arm holder is a MUST, it really helps the steering performance of the Mugen and it is offered by King Headz as well and the fit is better than the Eck-tec. I know because I helped them with that project!!

You should tell them to do their stuff in better (more appropriate) colors...LOL...it's a little "bling" for me. I like the Mugen color or even the basic black Eck-Tec look. I just can't bring myself to do the blue thing.

My bad...the shop I go to carries mostly all blue. I did see a couple black items when I went and looked at their website. Maybe all the black is always sold out when I go there because it's cooler...LOL

I hardly have any bling on the 1:1 race car either...mostly hard ano or plain aluminum.

I just got off the phone with Jim at King Headz and they just finished a batch of the new 2.75 rear toe blocks for the Mugen!! I've been waiting on this block for some time now, it's an EXCELLENT tuning option, your buggy or truggy will still be very stable, only give up a small bit of rear traction, but really gain some steering!! They fit the MBX5, MBX5R and MBX5T, and are offered in BLACK!!! I have 3 on there way now so I suggest you give them a call before their GONE!! Ask for Jim and tell him Ryan sent ya, and you want a free keychain!! www.kingheadz.com

Got a question:

Do any of you guys use the OFNA chrome top starter box ? If you do, could you snap some pics of the chassis stops on the top, so I can get an idea of where they go.

Thanks

Kaotic- Do yourself and your pitman a huge favor and purchase this TKO plate that bolts onto the chrome top box and makes starting any MBX5 or MBX5R a breeze!!! http://carolinasrc.com/Webstore/Scri...?idproduct=475

in2deep- Yes all of your MBX5 stuff will bolt right up to the R chassis, I can't see the benefit of the aftermarket chassis, their not much lighter.

in2deep- I always run the Mugen aluminum shoes and Mugen 1.0 springs, and I drive very aggressive as well but seem to get good performance and life out of this setup. I recently got a couple sets of the M2C clutch shoes and springs that I currently have in a Ninja motor I'm breaking in, but I haven't gotten to race with this setup yet. I hope they work well because I really liked the look and fit of them.

I need to head south for the winter and do some racing with you, I have family just up the road from you in St.Cloud FL.

ryan, i saw like the mbx5-t wing mounts idea you posted. You said you like the idea of lowering the center of gravity with the new mounts. Just a FYI, the himoto wing is 40 grams and the pro-line wing is 56 grams. Running the Himoto wing alone would help lower that center of gravity!
