Hey everyone. Figured since alot of people are showing off their TT-01's i may as well too lol. I currently have a HPI Mustang GT body, the blue and green, 17.5 Ballistic brushless, Tamiya 25t pinion 55t spur all to RCGT racing specs. Also have the Yeah Racing aluminum kit. Enjoy! I have a race next weekend so ill post more and let everyone know how it holds up to all the other touring cars (HPI, Losi, Kyosho, AE, TA-05) and some updated pics. Enjoy!

Hi, I am happy to join the club. I recently built my first TT-01E and i love it

I am now looking to buy the first batch of updates. I have the E type version so there is some confusion over the parts. There are some parts for the TT-01 that I would like to get for mine but I don't know if they will fit.
I am looking at the alloy suspension arms from GMP but I was told that they are not very good quality. I am interested in getting those because they seem to have stabiliser mounts that the stock ones in the E type don't have. If I can get those and they fit, then I can install stabilisers on mine too. They also have camber adjustment screws which is an added bonus but I can get tamiya arms that have camber adjustment also.

Any advice?

Hi, Here are some photos of one of my TT01ER cars. Next will be the Honda
HSV010 from Tamiya. Instructions call for a horrible purple paint color but I have decided to paint mine black like the test car. Will post photos soon.

I have spent a lot of time making a decent and cheap list of upgrades for the Type E and this is what I came up with. I am a total newbie in the r/c world so this is not exactly the cutting edge, extreme competition stuff but it is a nice set of upgrades to ease your way into more advanced things and also save some cash for those advanced things

The upgrades will cost about £130 depending on the retailer and they are the ones that can make the biggest difference in this car.

The adjustable upper arm set allows camber angle adjustments for all the wheels as it comes with 4 upper arms, all for £11.

The toe-in rear upright and the turnbuckle tie-rod set allow for a set toe-in on the back wheels and adjustable toe-in on the front wheels.

The mini shocks are nothing sexy since they are plastic but they include oil dampers which is a huge upgrade over the stock friction dampers.

The rest of the upgrades are pretty much self explanatory. Ball bearings allow smoother power transmission and so does the Alu shaft and joints. The Alu steering set will stiffen up the steering response and reduce wheel play in front.

There are a couple more expensive optional parts if you really wanna spend some cash. The first worthy upgrade is the Ball Diffs. I don't know much about them but my understanding is that they are smoother and they are also limited slip. Alternatively, you can go for the front one way diff which makes the car brake with the rear tires only to allow more steering control in front during braking. And finally, there are some carbon shock towers that look really nice but for the most part are useless unless you want really fine adjustment of shock angles.
DO NOT waste your time with the stabilizer sets. For starters they do not fit the Type E.

Sway bars from standard TT01 will fit, you need 2 front sway bar kit ( yes you use 1 front swaybar for the rear!), dowload the manual for the TT01D Type E, all the instructions are in there with the part numbers.
If you want to use the NSX 2007-08 you will need the carbon braces and super mini shocks p/n 50746 (The drift and the R models come with it)wich are about the same price as the ones you mentionned just a little bit shorter, but don't forget to use 53163 spring kit, this plus the other mentionned hop ups should get you in the field.

sway bars are the roll bars?
I spent so many hours trying to figure out if they work with Type E and in the end I saw in the product page at tamiya.com that they are incompatible with Type E.

Hi, Just want to remind you that if you use the NSX 2007-08 body you will
need to reposition the front body mounts to the bumper instead of the shock
bulkhead. Attached photos of my new HSV010. Have ordered the correct offset 6 spoke wheels. Regards

just look at the plan, I have them both (front and rear) on my TT01R type E.

They do fit.

I do'nt know how to put the link, but you can go on Tamiya's website and download the product manual for either the TT01D type E or the TT01R type E
all the parts no. are there plus the instructions that say you need 2 front swaybar kit and they are held by the bottom instead of the top like the standard TT01.A pic is worth a thousand words.

yea but there is a big difference between the R version and the plain version.
Part B5 which is the bumper holder has the mounts for the stabiliser holder. In my case I got a different part. I got part Part B6 which does not have mounts for the stabiliser. So basically, I will need to change my bumper holder too.
I will also have to replace the bottom suspension arms.
I don't think it is worth it really.

Arite gotta problem...just got rid of my tub chassis and replaced it with the 3racing graphite conversion kit. problem is adjustment for the motor with the new mount is limited to what gear ratios I can play with. I got a 61T spur in there now with a 24t pinion cuz thats all that meshes right, wanted to try 55T/ 22 pinon but the gears dont mesh right it has bout a couple millimeter gap maybe 2 or 3? tried everything and nothin, anybody else have this problem? motors a CM36 5700 kV with a sidewinder ESC. also my steering arms are binding now...WTF? if pictures needed will post accordingly. thanx.
