Question regarding gearing

I finally got the tt01 running strong everything was great but im having some problems with the gearing end.

I ran 19/61 car was fast but got WAY to hot, basically to the point where i couldnt even hold the motor, so i turned it off let it cool and started looking at other pinions.

Im come to try 25/61 but i cant get any mesh to work the gears are just to big it seems to fit inside the case.

Is anyone running 25/61 or something similiar..

im running a 17t brushed atm

The manual states 7.2v (6 cells) but the LiPo 7.4v is fine.
Not rated for a 7 cell NiMh or 3 cell LiPo.

Interesting looking at the specs, it says it outputs 7.2v to the receiver; not sure receivers (and therefore servos) like the straight pass-through. Hmmm.

thanks RaceBucks

BTW, its 4 pieces li-fe battery pack 7.4v
but the store said its configured as 2 cells
so i need to set it to 2 cell on my muchmore

anyway, you said something about a 3 cell liPo
will a 2 cell li-fe pack work-out w/ my TEU-101BK?

Argh i need traction with my tt-01 if i put the power on it spins up don't get me wrong it is fun but when coming out of a turn just about to go straight full power to get away from the field and the car spins started to do my head in. is it the tyres or the setup up im runnning.
im using a 21t motor 28/55 gears, tamiya slick tyres (so far reallly not impressed with them)

Default FWD

hey guys have you tried, removing the 2 rear dogbones

off the TT-01, just to make it a FWD car?

just curious, I mean, better to ask first, rather than regret the outcome.

The Tamiya 26mm tires are not as good as some others out there. For general running around on unprepared surfaces, I like the HPI Pro Compound Belted X-Patterns. About $30 for a set including wheels, they last pretty much forever, there are like a zillion HPI wheel patterns in various offsets (try the 3mm offsets for your TT01), and they have very consistent traction. We used them for our spec tire in Senior Spec last year and everyone liked 'em.

If you go to Tower Hobbies' web site and checkout the HPI tires, you can see them and the choices. You get the stock numbers and your local shop can order them from you. When you get the stock numbers make sure you get the manufacturer's stock number, not Tower's. You can also Google the stock number and find cheaper online prices.
