I have been racing off road for about 9 yrs, and just moved to onroad. I just got me a TC4, integy setup station, and tire arbor. What does the TC4 need right away. I need a paionted body, and rubber tires, as there are carpet and on road within my range.

Please let me know what the TC4 needs right away to be competitive, as well as if u have anything u can sell me for on road....

Is the car is Team TC4 of Factory Team TC4?

Honestly make sure the car is setup exactly per the manual. This is a great starting point. There are also a lot of setups posted on rc10.com for various team drivers on carpet and asphalt to use as reference.

It is a TC4, with full carbon components, carbon shaft, carbon CVD's. Aluminum blocks.

I'd make sure you have spare hub carriers on hand. They're the only thing I've broken so far, but the third replacement is going in tomorrow night.

im going through the same thing. not sure what to get for the tc4 i just got.

A good setup and the right tires make the car competitive along with good driving skills. For the TC4, make sure you have spare parts! Hub carries, arms, rear hubs/ etc. Get tuning options such as the rear toe blocks (X) to alter the rear toe. Get swaybars that may be needed in the setup.

If you want, get an aftermarket chassis such as the BMI one or even the FT TC4 conversion kit.

Once the car is setup and you lay off the walls, the car is very competitive. I myself have the BMI chassis where I race it on carpet.

Since your new to TC, ask people @ the track you will race at and ask them any questions you have.

I would suggest the lightened-steel diffs. The stock ones are very weak, and break with minimal trauma.

when u refer to "the stock ones" you are talking about the plastic ones right

Yeah, sorry. I replaced them twice in the first 2 weeks. No problems since the switch to lightened steel. They were kind of expensive, though.

If you run the plastic outdrives up front, your guarenteed to break them. One dogbone seems to not go as far in as the other causing that dogbone to come out in a crash. When I ran stock I still broke the front outdrive. Them seem to flex enough in a crash and cause the dogbone to pop out.

Just go with a ONE set of Steel Outdrives. (PN 3918)
