Type 2 is for Orion V2 endbells only (uses a longer screw). Type 1 is for everything else.

I ended up soldering an extra capacitor between the + and - terminal, and it seemed to help the glitching problem.

What springs and brushes do you guys run in races vs what you run in practice? I am running 4wd touring car outdoors on prepped asphalt. Looking into what I should run for practice, and what I should run in the race.

I've run the Atlas brush for about 10 runs. Cut it after 5th run. It's still fast as hell. I run touring rubber/carpet on a tight track with an 80' straight. Last week I pulled a car so hard on the straight. He had about 2-3 car lengths. and had more than a few people in aww at how fast it was. The car I pulled was not dumping and was at full throttle cuz' the driver came up to me and was like what kind of motor you got? Showed him my Brood tuned money w/Atlas brushes, silver+/gold- springs. He ran a Trinity KD I believe. I don't see the Atlas brush as being throw outs after a few runs.

I have gone about 6 runs on the atlas brushes in most applications, it all depends on track size and ambient temperature...and how well the car is setup.

In FL we have to run the Infinity brush due to heat in the summer time (100* air, up to 155* track). With that brush and the stiff springs you can run a monster gear ratio in a sedan (5.2FDR) and the car is ballistic.

I have heard some guys are running the Orion MR V2 spring in the Check Point 19T and Mod and you get even more power and brush life.

With the CP stiff spring the 19T is fast for ~2 runs on a hot day before you need to cut the com. The Infinity brushes are good for 15-25 runs.

I can understand how the outside temps can make brushes go quick. I run indoors. We'll see during this summers off road program.

Offroad puts the least load on motors compared to other forms of racing. Traction is limited so the motor never have to work that hard...except in 4wd Mod.

Money 19T's last forever in offroad so you can run Atlas brushes and run an entire day without working on your motor.

Has anyone had glitching problems with their money motor? I am running one and have always had some glitching issues at the end of a long straight. Has anyone had to add additional capacitors on the motor?

your not over reving it and getting brush bounce are you? how hot is it comming off the track?

Since it is just practice, the motor is about 150-170 max the past few days. The motor was just cut and rebuilt 1 week ago.
