When using Mugen or Kyosho springs, make sure you are using the six clutch weights on the flywheel ( before the pressure plate ). Spring tension at the locknut was measured at 0.7mm to 0.8mm.
Mugen spring locknut from MTX4 is also good to use because the shape of Mugen spring locknut will contain the spring against side to side flexes. IMO the clutch is G4S is troublesome compare to straight forward Mugen clutch...... the shape of G4S pressure plate is rather strange..... possibly it makes un-even clutch wear.

I'm thinking about buying a G4S and I have a few questions:
Is it a good racing kit?
What engine do you guys reccomend for it?
Wheres the cheapest place I can find it?

You can't go past a Novarossi engine.
Cheapest is not always the best.

Why don't use the stock rear anti-roll bar on your G4S?

Thats the one rc item that cannot be bought ,a good pitman
When you do get one ,look after them ,they a true asset.
as for the UFO clutch ,I havent had any issues with all 3 that i have with exception of damaging the base plate for the shoe when i dropped it .Couldnt figure out why shoe wouldnt sit flush till i noticed it as the shoe fits pretty snug on the plate.
Only other hassle was the flushing on the clutch bell cooling holes that scratched the shoe, after sand papering it smooth everything is A OK.
If there is one niggle that really irratates me is the brakes.
Am making a new brake cam as the brake arm is too far forward to my liking and the brake rod ball cup is on the virge of popping off.I am making a new one that has the brake arm 90deg to the brake disc. Also I use a 6mm threaded ball as a brake piston as the std one is a tad short. My brake tolerance is less and more consistent.Just to finish the cam and brake woes are sorted.
