Anyone else

I have never had any leaking problems until today...

my car was sideways at the end of the straight and was t- boned twice. A shock in the front and rear blew up. It was a huge oil leak...

If you read and follow every step in the manual about the shocks, and learn how to bleed them properly, these are some of the easiest to build, fool-proof shocks that you will find surprisingly easy to maintain.

About the same thing happened to me. I used the older shock bodies from a fellow racer and those leaked. So I used my Hara shocks frm my Pro 4. I am thinking about getting some Tamiya shocks for the T2. I never liked plastic shocks.

I'd have to agree. I rebuilt my shocks on my XXX-S a few times and it seemed that every time, they had air in them. WHen I built the T2 shocks, I went relatively quickly and only one had air in it. It was easy enough to pull apart, add more oil and bleed it again. I was very impressed on how smooth they were and how great the adjustability of them are (i've never had adjustable shocks before). That is a pretty cool feature!!

The shocks do work great.I will admit that...
IMO,the problem with the plastic shocks, after a couple of runs, oil starts to seep VERY slowly from the plastic end- cap around the o-ring area.
The plastic shock bodies and end- caps don't hold tight enough together to compress the o-ring enough to stop the leakage.
When I switched to the aluminum bodies, the plastic end- caps held on tighter making a better seal for the o-ring stopping the leakage.

Heck, while we are on the subject of aluminum parts for the T2, can i get those plastic shock pieces in aluminum (the O-ring holder)?? It would LOOK so much better to have it in all aluminum. And has anyone found another source for the o-rings other than from XRAY? They are smaller than AE/Losi o-rings.

No and No.
Xray made sure you had to buy replacement parts from them.
