Hey Guys just wanted to let you know that countershinking the stadard top deck fix the tweak problem. I was using some countersunk washers and I was having some serious tweak problem...

Now I had some serious crash today and the car stayed flat... didnt even move a little on the tweak station.

I was also looking for more steering to take some 180 deg corner. The car couldn't exit tight enough on power. I used some schumacher 6 deg c-hub and WOW

My car as no more problems!!! I guess I can now let the fk05 go

114/32 in 19t with a reedy fire label motor = 6.0

thanks Kev...

I know several other guys offered their gear ratios, but SoCal is "in a league of it's own"....and if you have run there you know what I mean....

Thanks again,

Can you tell what size countersink I would need and where the best place is to pick one up?

Thanks!

I searched under "FK05 shock ends T2" and got no results for this. I imagine it has already been discussed, but I didn't feel like reading 2,000+ posts. How interchangeable are the lower shock ends between the 05 and the T2? I broke a fronty shock end at the end of the main today and the store only had the T2 replacements (4 to a package at about $4.75). Will they work? I also saw a "kit" for the T2 shocks that was similar to what you had to buy to get the 05 shock ends, except it was for a T2 ( shock body, spring retainer, shock ends etc at about $7.50). The weird thing was that the shock ends sold individually for the T2 were shorter than the shock ends for the T2 in the shock parts "kit". I couldn't eveen find the actual part I needed for the 05. Any information on this? Thanks.

Hi guys, really don't know where to begin, I do gas oval racing, when the winter came everything stopped. So I got involved with electric on road I like it. I bought a TC4, doing pretty well with it. But it seems like every body at the track that I race at have x-rays. I know it's hard to get an opinion from someone who will specifically likes their car. One of the guys let me drive his x-ray. I was very impressed with it. So I think I'm going to buy one. But every body is saying not to buy the T2 to buy the T1fk 05 I think that's the one. I don't understand why. If every body is using the x-ray. And then they come out with a newer version. You think you would be better than the old one. I love the sport. but don't Know which way to go. they also saying to look at the cyclone buy hot body carpet on road racing. It's goes round and round and really don't know. Going down to the Snowbird this week hoping to get some answers I would really appreciate if anybody has any thing to say about these cars.

Default Medium Grip Asphalt Setup

This is the starting set up for my T2 on med grip asphalt.

I ran pretty much stock except:

I moved the inner ackerman to the rear tab. ( This was not real clear to me I assume the pink dots in the setup book are the positions of the bearing location. Can some one please clarify this for me as I am trying to achieve more ackerman).

Gearing was 116x30=6.57
Putnum Propulsion 19t Chameleon Duce

Rear

Height 5mm
Drop 5mm
Toe 2 Degrees neg
Camber 1 degree neg
Stock Springs
X-Ray 30wt

Front

Height 5mm
Droop 5mm
Toe 1 degree positive
Camber 0-1 degree neg
Stock Springs
X-Ray 3wt

Chassis

I run close to the medium setting, except on top I use the Aluminum standoffs and 4 less screws see picture (Red spots depict areas where NO screws are used). Bottom chassis setup is factory recommended.

This worked really well for me. It resulted in me sweeping my heats earning TQ and finishing 1st. I would like to get feed back if guys try it. Doesn't seem like very many of you run on asphalt but for those who do lets get some stuff rolling.

308316 T2 T2 shock ball joint http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/pro...66&kategoria=0
308301 T2 XRAY Shock Absorber-Set 4-Step (2) http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/pro...65&kategoria=0
308300 XRAY Shock Absorber-Set 4-Step (2) http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/pro...95&kategoria=0

The ball joints on the 308300 (T1) and 308301 (T2) are the same. The 308316 is shorter than those and you are right they are sold separately. I believe that the shorter ones fits perfectly to the old shocks. But if you change one of the front ones the other must be changed also.
Where is your hobby shop which has T2 parts?
