munrath, tidy!

what KO servo is that?

does anyone have any more information about the rumoured new KO low-profile servo's?

I blew up my hitec HS-5925 on sunday, not happy, on the main straight too. *crash*.

I've put a KO 2344 in it for now, but had to shim it out to hell to get the packaged servo horn to clear the top deck.

with my hitec i used a thin ally horn, and attached the turnbuckle linkage to the outside of the horn (away from top deck)..

James,

Thanks. I run the KO2363 ICS servo. I believe the last time I spoke to Robert the low profile servo was going to be released in Feb., but don't quote me on that.

Yea Munrath your car looks sweet. I really like that body too..

Hey does anyone else think that X-Ray should come out with a diffrent steering knuckles for people that run foam tires? This shimming stuff is getting crazy..

What was RC america thinking. Yea lets be nice and put Jaco foams in the box and then when we go to mount them they rub against the steering knuckles..Weird..

I'm surprised when any manufacturer comes out with a car where the most popular foam tires rub on the knuckles. It's not just xray.

It looks like X-RAY copied some of the drive train design from tamiya. If you guys hate using spacers, TAMIYA makes wider wheel hexes that will mount perfictly on the T2. Eliminating the need for using spacers, when using foam tires. Both companies use the same axes. I'll try and post the part number later.

Anyways, you can see the difference between the button head and the flat head... it definitely makes room for the clearance issues.

Sorry, for keep on repeating myself. But, why go thru all the trouble to fit a spur gear. www.jwerksrc.com has possibly the best spur gears available for all touring cars. Best of all, there is zero modifications to fit it on all XRAY rides.

Well....the Jwerks site only indicates spurs in sizes up to 114T....and most of the shops listed on the dealer list don't show spurs, only other misc parts from Jwerks...

As a result...we keep trying to find other things that will work...

What seize are you looking for. I run for xray and I like using a 112 spur gear.

Ok... we hear you... Jworks spurs fit the RW's fit perfectly also. Some guys just want to use up the spur gears they already have.

Thanks for the pics Dave. As I said PRS is working on changing the gears so no modification will be needed. PRS gears are made in house in the USA...Not rebaged gears from Japan.
