With the unmodified floating servo mount the battery position need to be at the rear position but if Quinny decide to cut the "antenna" post and 3rd screw on the servo mount it give him the possibility to put the battery 10mm more forward...
So you say I may need to cut his servo mount and put the battery more forward when he will not be looking lol

OVA I prefer more neutral weight than all the weight at the front because when your front end was too heavy the nose dive too much and the chassi rubbed the carpet and can cause traction roll

I hear what your saying ..mine never yet traction roll yet ,our carpet is med high grip.....My old YR4FF (sp) yokomo front wheel was modify as split battery pack ( saddle pack) and the battery is located in the middle of the chassis and

Not a fan of aluminum chassis but interesting to see the servo mount placed in the good old position, something i'd definitely love to do. I'll be testing mine this coming weekend, curious how it will stack up against my FF04 EVO black edition.

Was just thinkering around with steering.
Think I prefer it this way.

Today I'll drive it for the first time!

Drove the car last weekend and was really impressed with it!
The belt powered FF car is definitely smoother on acceleration.
Didn't time it against the FF04 EVO but car felt more planted and faster.
Running 2.5mil oil in the diff with 13.5t motor, minimal wheel spin coming out of the corner. All in all very happy with it.

I'm not a fan of FF bodies so I stuck with what I had already in the basement

Any progress on the car boys?
Think I'll get to drive again next weekend. Looking forward to time it in our local club against my FF04 EVO times.

Btw I'd be happy to get the chassis you guys designed cut from carbon, as I don't like to drive aluminum actually on any car.

review after 1st run ..............

AWESOME !

1st of all I swap the yokomo suspension block for the samix 1mm lower (aluminum version ) with xray insert and I run Xray 2016 black shock modified to reach 63mm instead of 55mm stock

I test the car with a TSR 21.5 motor with usgt tire and 3racing civic body. the car have a good balance need to be moore agressive in the chicane ( maybe thinner oil in the shock ) , I run SMJ 3.5 ( gold ) front and xray progressive 2.3-2.6 rear and with 2.5 million cst in the diff

next time I test with thinner oil in shock maybe a front spool and special secret parts from another brand !

Good to hear it worked well!
I'm running the 2.5mil oil in mine and works good so far. But than again I run 13.5 in my, guess makes a bit of a difference power wise. For 21.5 I'd go not more than 300k in the diff.
As for the shocks 450 around and yokomo pink front and blue at the back.
Will be testing xgear springs next time.
