Hey Everyone,

I know I've been slacken lately (just trying to get our Kyosho TC up and running). I'm working on all new instuctions per industry standards (3D) and set-up sheets. After the Champs, I go to Japan for a week and then I am home to crank out a bunch of stuff to update everything (including the web site). Thanks for your interest in CEFX, especially with my lack of support here lately.

It might be a ticky-tack request, but would a 3/32" Kydex bumper instead of the carbon version maybe hold up better or absorb impacts more? Seems to be really the only weak link on the entire car. So far, I love it, though, Josh. I'm looking forward to the new front end, too. Thanks for joining in here.

Car is all done and ready for this weekend... I figured I'd be a post whore and throw some pics of the recently painted body up here to keep the thread rolling.

Doug your paint job looks awesome, can't wait to see it this weekend. I especially like the Intense Raceway Park sticker on it. also, if you want I have some new design Tekin stickers if you want to throw them on there.

All paints are Parma Faskolors, many of them are custom mixes of more than a few different colors. I figure there are probably 20-30 colors in the paint job. The pink on the back, for example, is pearl-effect (purple) followed by a thin coat of fluorescent pink, followed by a mix of pearlcoat, fluorescent raspberry, and pearl silver. It gives this really awesome pearly magenta raspberry color that is super cool in sunlight. There are probably 15 different mixed greens in the zebra stripes alone. Pearls, metallics, fluorescents and even solid kelly green. The best trick with Parma water-based paints is to thin them with a clear window cleaner (like Windex). Cleans the airbrush great, too. Essentially the same thing that the Parma brush cleaner is, and costs about a tenth that the Parma stuff does.

I have some other photos of things I have painted (long ago), but for now, I'll keep them hidden away. I barely have time to paint my own cars. Maybe some of the oldies will show up in the Painter forums sometime soon.

Thought you'd like those. Looks better in person. I've had my fill of being at the office on Sundays instead of at the race track for quite a while, I'm definitely ready for 19T 12th scale on Sunday.

Yeah, I love wheel dots, I just don't drive well enough to keep from knocking them off with the boards.

Maiden voyage last weekend with the car, and I like it a lot, but it was a very twitchy little nervous car through the infield (tracked fine on the straights). What have you guys done to tame some of the violent behavior of the short wheelbase car?
