PK yes it is the front 1-way bevel. There is also a mod to do to the crwon gear 1-2 pages back follow the instructions and it will lessen the chances of stripping the gear.
Enjoy

my current outdoor setup is as per Surikarn's setup, except i use Orion 27's, 40wt oil and a yellow front swaybar.

the car for the first time in it's life is balanced and the setup also works well/faster foam (what we us most of the time). I run mod with a Novak BL.

Default new evo3

there will be perhaps a blue version of the chassis with some new parts, sorex tires and Surikarn decal sheet

According to an unofficial report from Japan, Tamiya is planning to release a new version of the TB EVO3 (JPY49,000).
The shaft driven chasis has been very popular since the release late last year and has earned a number of victories in the hands of Satoshi Maezumi (Yamayama Cup) and the current World Champion Surikarn Chaidajsuriya (Thai International Champs). The new kit will include several newly developed parts which have been used by the TRF team for a while.
This is a list of new items which may be found in the kit:

* Blue anodized aluminum parts
* Titanium hex screws and titanium turnbuckles
* 3mm main chasis
* Hard Diff Joint & lightweight universal shaft
* New aluminum upper arm mount
* New front and rear shock towers
* New one-way carbon plate
* Sorex 36R tires
* Commemoration carrying type package
* Surikarn Limited special sticker

I believe the information is taken from www.tq-racing.com
JPY49,000 is the full retail price. FYI, the current TB Evo3 kit's full retail price is JPY37,800.

right, but i don't think all the new mods justify such a price .
(except the surikarn stikers )
i don t know if the new 1-way solves the problem of the first one...

with all the titanium screws, and new oneway, aluminum parts. I think the car is priced reasonably. consider if you add all those parts yourself. you might spend a bit more than what the car cost.

you can expect Tamiya to release all new parts as optional/ hop up parts.
more new detail pictures of TB Evo3s used at the TITC2003 can found at tq-racing.com on the pictures page in the TITC report...

All this talk about a new car makes it hard to sell a car sometimes. Nonetheless, for those of you that are thinking of getting one we have them in stock and ready to ship.

Thanks

Dave,

In shimming A1 & A3 to prevent the "banana" effect on the upper deck did you go with 1.5mm or 2mm at each end of the gear box?

thanks,

John
