I only have one bent hingepin....lol

The gear isn't totally roached...just enough to cause a click....and worry me to hell and back

I'll try my ghetto gear fitting & put a drilled, diff bevel gear on the one-way.....I think v12 said something about being able to do it a few pages back (don't have time to check ATM)

Got the motor problem fixed too (hopefully)....Though I gotta admit that now half the screws on the bottom are phillips head Atleast they are the correct thread

Thanks - Dan

How many EVO IIIs where out at the Reedy race? Does someone have a setup ready to post? Where they running diffs or spools?

Almost everyone was running spools. I guess only 2-3 people were running diffs according to a source. There were a lot of Evo 3s out there though.

Yes it works.

Ream out the middle hole & drill 2 new ones to take all 4 screws.

Ream out the hole literally (I don't have a drill so I use a body reamer)

As we speak I'm reaming out another one for a back-up (I already reamed one out for the car)

Hopefully that'll last a raceday

If you go back in this thread uhh... about 100 pages or so.. that's what we had to do when all the LHS were out of stock of the one-way gear.

On a different note... is the Whole World OUT OF STOCK of the lightweight shaft??!?

Most of us ran the Speedtech spool...the EVO3 looked to be very competitive during the practice rounds and early Saturday (TQ), however the warmer the temps got, the worse the EVO handled.

The 415's seemed to be much better when the track became greeaseey late Sat & during the mains Sunday afternoon.

Default Broken uni

Hey JC, actually I figured it wasn't all temp! I looked at my car wednesday night for the first time after the reedy and found a broken universal joint (front left).

I guess that would explain why that car went from dialed to terrible!! If the tires pointed straight the drive train was fine, when turning the wheels it would lock up the drive train.

either way Charlie drove awesome!! There is always next year.

If anyone wants the setup pm me. The car was dialed until it broke. LOL

EJ, that was a great run! You can kept up with Charlie and stay competitive until the end even with a broken UJ.

I'd appreciate it if you can share your set up.

Regards,
Jeff

the stock rear uprights are 2° toe in
so using
A block overall 2°
B block overall 2.5°
C block overall 3°
D block overall 3.5°

That's not correct.

A block front and back will give you 2° since the uprights are 2°

However, to get 2.5°, you need to use A in front and B aft.

to get 3°, you need A front and C aft.

and so forth

each letter makes a 0.5° difference.

similarily, you can use B front and A aft to get 1.5°
