I thought it'd be the other way around.....because the front would already be up when the car tries to "dive" so there would be a reduced "dive effect"

I think it stops the car rolling. I brought new batteries a little while ago and file the battery slots out only a little as if i did it to much the bateries would hit the ground but recently the carbon cut through the heat shrink what is a good way to stop the batteries shorting.

Cover the cut with a coat of silicone sealant or ShoeGoo.

If you've worn thru the metal case of the cell its toast; unlikely but it can happen.

I'll try shoeglue on the batteries. Does anyone alson know about some longer short adjusters(50797) for the suspension, the ones that come with the car are a little to short and the long ones are way to big.

you need to file the battery slots more so they are smooth--especially on the 4 corners of each slot (see the manuel).

After a 4 years break with electric car,i'm comeback...and i gonna buy a TB Evo3 Surikarn...so what can you advice to me?
Is it a good car ? Have i be careful with some part?
Is it a good way to comeback? How many i have to change from the box car?
Is it a suprise or a really good car...?

You mean the Square alloy gearbox cases?

The ones who got them say they're good & I don't disagree, but
my cars are doing fine without them so I've never bothered to
buy any to try.

Being made of alloy they are a bit stiffer than Tamiya plastic, and
may (or may not) help with gear mesh hassles.

Its a good car. The only weakness is the front gearbox and how much easier 1-way gear can strip because of it. Details of the fix has been covered many times earlier in this thread, with photos.

If you are serious about the Surikarn it might be worth your while to read through this thread and make a little notebook of fixes, changes and setups.

Okay,

I got my computer re-formated and my EVO's front diff together. Its real tight ATM (dad says its okay, its way too tight)...I'm going to loosen it up a bit during the week

Soooo....Probably 13 more days until I can even drive it (next Sheldon's race) unless (I highly doubt) dad gets next weekend off.

BTW: Heres a pic of it with my carpet tires/rims on....Shows what a white boy with a POS camera can do with photo-shooting tips from a POS magazine...BTW: Only reason I got an airbrushed body is cause I got it off ebay for $25
