On a D07 you could try the forward aggressive option package. I ran it on carpet and liked it, I think on asphalt it may even be better suited for that now. Otherwise you could run more droop all around on the car and lighter diff fluid for starts. Keep the roll centers low as well.

I have a quick question for anyone using the new TBBS shock set up. I have a D08 and it is excellent. I race on a small indoor carpet track that is fairly low traction and I run USGT (spec tires). Would the new TBBS shock set up be a beneficial upgrade for the track size and grip level that I mentioned above or is more intended for for a larger asphalt track?

Okay the narrow set up was faster through the corners like I suspected. I ran 5dot pills inward in the R/F and 2dot inward on the R/R. The car turns in very quickly and was very predictable although free on entry. I could stay on throttle longer into and earlier out of the corners. Everyone was chasing the rear of their cars because of the heat. Im runn8ng red front and green rear springs with 45w front and 40rear oils.
Im also running forward sweep in the front arms for a more aggressive feel.

the car will be more planted with the short shocks and towers. less chassis roll and its more planted through the corners. start with the suggested setup with the kit instructions and tune to your liking from there.

Tried red dot arms 3hole pistons with 400cst oil and car was fast over a lap but most of all fast with out pushing it over a five min run
Before this weekend I only hit 20 laps pushing my other cars so hard in qualifying on two other dates this time I got 2 20 laps in one day and car was easy to drive

Loving new car have a national feel like I have a great car going into it

The bits that haven't changed are diff, belts, centre pulley/ lay shaft ,steering bell crank and turnbuckles might be same length

To just put the chassis on u need
Chassis
Bulkheads
Shock towers
Shocks if you go for new ones
Top deck
Driveshafts ( different to d07 don know if length has changed)
Suspension hinge pin blocks
Motor mount
Anti roll bar mounts bearings etc
That's off the top of my head

Then u need hubs front and rear , c hubs,arms all the new plastics really and alloy like spool list goes on. Buy a new car

The plastics can go on the d07 and inprove the car but it's not a d08 ( tried them before I got the money to go d08 )

I want to thank Edward for the set up help today. I was 1/2 a second faster per lap over my own set up. I finished 4th overall because of a scuffle with a car in the early freight train. Then trying to get back up in the battle I took a friend out and waited for him. All in all it was a very good day.

Went to the brca Clubmans at the weekend at Cotswolds track
I was in 17.5t blinky and Alex was 13.5t boosted both got into the a finals
Alex was 6th on the grid got a 5th and a 8th (wet for his second final ) and I was 10th on the grid and got 8th and 9th
brilliant cars so happy ( had one wet qualifier so had to run d07 once ,good old girl unbeatable in the wet)
I have not got in an A final all season and I was the only Unknown name in the final ,this car has really raise my game

I was wondering afther how many time it's best to change de shaft O rings of the shoks? The white O rings are low friction I guess, so low friction but more maintenance...

TBBS spring is 13.98mm ID, TBBS shock body is 13.46mm.

Not to sound like a smart ass, but change as required. I have been running the same O rings for over 3 months now (indoors) and they still seem to seal up. Thats the best I can tell you sorry.

So, I've done some testing with the D08 chassis at my local track... cough cough, Yatabe Arena.

The D08 responded quite well to setup changes. I was quite blown away by the various flex adjustments that can really fine tune the D08's over all handling characteristics. Interestingly, I used RC3 to calculate a setup that I felt would work for the track. This program has taken a lot, I mean a lot of guess work out of my setups. I really, really suggest getting this for your D08. I've used this program to work with other D08 drivers to inspect and analyse their setups.

So far it's been quite successful. Knock on wood.

Here's my setup and please give it a try. You don't have to run kick-up on the front but it's worth the try. However, I would run the front suspension 1 mm shim and 0.5 shim in the rear. This brings the RC closer to each other.

Give it a try. Even try this setup with an aluminum chassis.

I'll try it if I get on some carpet. Doesnt that much droop in the car make it snap loose in the annimation on rc crew chief?
