texracer, lockmouth - thanks for all of the kind words, we try really hard at our track to leave a good impression with the racers when the leave here. there are so many races that you can attend now days. we are trying to host two races per year of this caliber. we really want to thank CEN and all of the other sponsors for choosing our facility to host this event. i met andrew smolnik and some of the other team members, gene hickerson and sokol, these guys represent CEN very well, at the Futaba Nitro Challenge last year. I can assure you that with CEN and the other sponsors who have stepped up to help put on this race, IT WILL BE A GREAT TIME. if anyone needs any info about our track or our area, just pm me or you can email at [email protected]

Default CEN Matrix Por Factory Race Edition

Don't forget you can get the CEN Racing Matrix in non RTR form - The Matrix Pro FRE. The RTR is great but the Factory Race Edition is unmatched in quality and price for a 1/8 race buggy. Under $450!

The FRE does look great. I have seen them go as low as $340 shipped NIB.

Only thing I wish was that the shock towers were CNC'd, but other than that, probably the best buy for a true pro level kit.

just wanted to let you guys know about gene's diff conversion. tried them out today and the work GREAT!! if anyone has been thinking about trying them out, do it.

i see alot of people asking about which buggy is the best and all of that, i ran a prospec and a losi 8, before going with CEN, both great buggies. most people can drive what ever they want and everyone has there preference. i just wanted to say that i have been pleasently suprised with the CEN MATRIX and the CEN ARENA TR. for the money i think they are unmatched. the quality of the parts and fit are great. the support of CEN and andrew smolnik, drivers like gene hickerson, they seem to want to put a quality product out there and back it up. great job guys.

Hey guys I have a few questions:

1. Which chassis is the better one to upgrade to, the Long version or the Short version?

2. Which kind of chassis is the RTR version, a Long style or short style?

3. If you are running the Long style chassis, should you run a short setup by running the rear hubs forward?

4. For Gene, when you say 80W gear oil for the diffs, is this the same as shock oil? If not, can you recommend some brands?

the RTR is the same dimensions as the long chaisis, I'm not really sure which would be better to upgrade to, It depends on the track and what not,

Thanks for the info. I have heard that the team drivers are using the short chassis but didn't know if this was across the board (sort of like running the plastic chassis with the rc10b4 factory team).

I believe all of us on the team are running the short chassis.

The RTR has the long chassis

You really should just get short chassis cause the length is different

I believe that the 80wt oil is equivlent to 100cps shock oil.

80wt gear oil is non silicone transmission/differential petrol oil sold at any automotive store.

Use the short Chassis with the hubs in the middle or all the way back. But if you only race at a big open bumpy track, then the long chassis will be better.
