Yeah, I seal all of my carbon fiber parts using a bead of CA glue around the edge to prevent cracking.

I sand the edges with some fine sandpaper, and then just use some thin CA to seal it, I just put a few drops on the edge and then tilt the part around to let the glue "walk" around the whole part, and then use some paper towel to wipe off the excess, just be careful to not get it on your figers because you will leave white finger prints where ever you touch on the part, I think you can also use a q-tip and apply the glue that way, never tried it but I think it would probally be a little less messy and less chance of getting finger prints or excess glue everywhere,

it will help prevent cracking, and it also gives it a shiny, more finished look, its a trick I learned running 12th and 10th scales onroad,

Default PICCO .21 Race EVO 2

Hey guys, what do you think of the PICCO .21 Race EVO 2 to replace the stock engine that comes with the Matrix Buggy RTR? Any issues with installation? How about performance? Thanks for your thoughts.

I just picked up a CEN Matrix RTR and I'm in the process of finding a race legal engine and starter box for it. I'm really short on budget. What does everyone think of these choices?

The track I will race on is considered small/medium. Anyone have experience with this motor? Does it have good longevity? From what I read on the net, everyone says the Go Tech 3 Port Sport is a great bang for the buck. However, I haven't quite ruled out a 3 port Novarossi or OS VG at this point. Thoughts?

Also, would my stock pipe work decently with this engine or do I need something else? Thanks in advance for any info you can give to a beginning racer!

The Go Tech engine are great mills. I have the 5 port and 7 port .21s and I have been very happy with them. I have heard that the 3 port sport is a very good engine especially once you change it over to a turbo head.

They pipes that work well with these engines are the 2047 or the 086. I got a Dynamite platinum 086 pipe from Blue Grass Hobbies for $39.99. You can't beat that price for a 086 tuned pipe.
