New Graphite Hubs:
Xray have recently released some additional Graphite hubs for the T4 lineup. The 4° Graphite C-Hub has been out for some time and is known to improve steering on entry, and in general makes the car turn better. This has been the go-to c-hub on asphalt for many on the Xray team, though it is not needed on high bite carpet. The Graphite rear hub tends to make the car more stable, especially on corner entry. We are still working on gathering input on the new Graphite steering block, but for the moment feel that it should improve steering response. All Graphite parts are approximately 1g lighter than the Hard or Medium options.

Option Parts to consider:
XRA301196 T4 Graphite Upper Deck 1.6mm V2
XRA301226 Foam Bumper – Hard - highly recommend
XRA302165 Composite Front Suspension Arm 2-Hole – Hard
XRA302169 Composite Front Suspension Arm 1-Hole – Graphite
XRA302803 1.3mm Front Anti-Roll Bar
XRA303169 Composite Rear Suspension Arm 1-Hole – Graphite
XRA303802 1.2mm Rear Anti-Roll Bar
XRA305137 Steel Solid Axle Driveshaft Adapters - HUDY Spring Steel - highly recommend
XRA305242 Composite Drive Shaft Replacement Cap 3.5mm – Orange – Strong (QTY 4)
XRA305351 Aluminum Wheel Hub – Offset “-0.75mm” – Black (QTY 2)
XRA306191 T4 Graphite + Aluminum Fully Adjustable Battery Holder
XRA308264 4S Spring-Set Progressive C=2.5-2.8 (QTY 2)
XRA308276 4S Spring-Set C=2.7 (QTY 2)
XRA308286 4S Spring-Set C=2.6 (QTY 2)
Specific to Asphalt:
XRA302383 Composite C-Hub Right – 4* - Graphite (ECS)
XRA302384 Composite C-Hub Left – 4* - Graphite (ECS)
XRA308039 Aluminum Progressive Shock System – Set (QTY 2)

Specific to Carpet:

XRA301141 T4 Aluminum Flex Chassis 2mm
XRA302375 Composite C-Hub Right – 6* - Hard ***Modification may be required if they don't have the "ECS" stamp.

XRA302376 Composite C-Hub Left – 6* - Hard ***Modification may be required if they don't have the "ECS" stamp.

XRA303711-O Aluminum Rear Lower Suspension Holder – Front – RF

orca 6200mah batteries are about perfect for side/side with my hobbywing/trinity stuff.
with stock chassis i had to add 50ish grams but the hard aluminum is over weight.

Default Driveline Drag

Driveline drag ? If I just have the front, center and rear sections on the car they spin freely once I hook up the belts on I start getting drag. Front not so bad but when I attach the rear belt the driveline drag (doesn't free wheel) get worse. This is without the front and rear shafts attached. T3, belts are not over tightened, all 6 bearings have been cleaned and oiled (twice). Any ideas why the driveline is dragging or is this normal ??

I just ordered the 2016 kit after owning my 2015 kit for a couple weeks, have you guys noticed a clear difference between white belts and the kit ones?

The biggest difference I've found with the white belts is a lot less build up of junk in the pullies and on the belts themselves compared to the stock ones.

A little off topic. But does anyone have any setup sheets for vta? I'm running on a low grip carpet track that is relatively small. I think I'm close with the silver progressive springs up front and 2.3 on rear but still feels a little twitchy

It's normal to have drag, it's just the nature of a belt system. Only thing you can do is ensure you have the diff positions set correctly to allow slack in the belts but not be so loose as to cause skipping.

Could you post your setup so we can see it and make some suggestions? I think I would suggest going back to 2.5 on the rear, but it depends on how much chassis roll you have. With how heavy VTA cars have to be, I'd think 2.3 is too soft and causing some oversteer. Also it is extremely important to make sure the tires are dry before you put the car down. I mean make sure you really put effort into getting all the excess compound out from between the treads.

I've found that I have some play in the 20T fixed pulley. It appears to be on both halves, and the play is where the pulley mates to the pin. My pulley isn't very old, and I have rotated it 90 degrees so that the pin slips into the previously unused grooves and it is better, but still has some slop. Is this normal? I know other cars have a different design and do not have any slop.

My 3 month old t4 16 does the same thing, however, I don't think it affected performance.

Being designed this way, I bet every t4 owner is experiencing the same thing.

Hi, I have a 2016 T4 and try to install the aluminum steering Arm but after installed, the steering ball joint will hit the belt ? So I took it out and try to see what's the difference of the plastic arm, it seem the plastic arm is sit more higher than the aluminum arm. Do you guys have this problem ? Did you guys just leave it like this or how can it be fix . Thx

Shim your servo mount up a half mm or so. Just the plate not the servo itself. Otherwise maybe file the studs a little bit. He belt will expand on power so i doubt it hits the steering often if at all.
