Since I'm getting grief on the side for not being bold enough, how about this:
A nicer finish on the aluminum parts. I'd like to see a finish (even if it's orange anodized afterwards) like Avid did on their chassis. Similar to how Apple treats the aluminum on its laptops.
A return to silver that has a finish like Apple's products would be awesome. Orange is hideous.

It was a conversion we did back with the '13 car. I made some aluminum chassis' for them this year and brought the car out of retirement a couple of months back. It was 3-4 seconds faster over a 6 minute run over my car with the xray 14-15 suspension mounts with the same exact set up and equipment.

Suspended

This time a 2016 version is not neccessary (in myopinion).
Aftermarket tuning parts from Spec-R, for example the motor mount, made a difference in feeling, but many drivers returned to the original.
What could be an improvement are shortened Spur gear bulkheads. Other than that and the above mentioned ECS the car is nearly perfect. Maybe a material change for the shock bladders would be nice as the swell quite fast.
I am not sure if these small improvements would justify a 2016 version. Lets see what they have in the pipeline...

And iTunes. I want iTunes on Xrays. Everything should have iTunes.
Everything is awesome!

I'll play. How about a T4'16 carpet edition that includes the following:
Aluminum chassis on par with aftermarket options
Thicker/harder top deck
HD ECS
Graphite arms, with 2 hole in front
Solid servo mount that doesn't extend beyond the back of a shorty servo (ie RADTEC)
Xray's sweet battery retaining system
Solid R/F, split F/R blocks (opposite of current option)
No ARS, spend that money on other upgrades

Pillow ball suspension would be interesting as it's one of those things that manufactures moved away from some time ago, perhaps with the changes and advances since it might be even better.
Does anyone know why manufactures moved away from it in the first place?
P.S. I like the orange.

That would be a 'high grip carpet' edition, not just a 'carpet edition'

I imagine precision machining a spheric blind hole is more difficult than machining a hole whatever its profile and then moulding some plastic to fit in. Also the ball hinges. Look at the first Xray floating servo mount. It had a machined locating dowel on the bottom. They moved to a three screw mount because it's easier to drill three holes and thread them than machining all that metal to leave behind a protruding dowel.
Come to think of it, I don't like the Xray split blocks. They're the only one left on the market that doesn't have three point location. Tamiya gave up the two screw system after they used it only on the TRF418 because of its inherent locating problems. Xray might want to rethink this idea, and perhaps go back to their previous system.

Lightweight pillow ball suspension would be interesting though.

I'm not a fan of the pillow balls on the pins as it's one more thing to wear out and have to maintain with grease etc.
I had your RX4 conversion and whilst it worked well (though not any better on the tracks I ran), it was a pain the arse to maintain

Maybe the upgrade will be a 10% raise in price.
