got ya, thank you. looks like ill be ordered a tekno soon.
when can i have access to the for sale forum? i need to sell a brand new TLR 22SCT 2.0 and a refurbished losi xxx-sct w buggy chassis. that will take some off the $1200 hit for a nice full eb48.3 kit with a few parts.

Where is a good place to mount the rear shock for minimal bending because I don't want to buy another shock shaft soon
#1308
Does anybody know where I can get the FTW (snow designs) body? Cant seem to find it anywhere except hooliganRC and I have never heard of that place and I don't like buying from somewhere I haven't heard of. Unless maybe someone here buys from them and knows they are reputable?

Spindle Carrier
I posted this in the old EB48 forum sorry. I was wondering if anyone has tried the older 10deg carrier in this buggy? Like/Dislike?

I took the usual arms and hingepins. but what else should I take ?

You can bend/break about anything if your persistent enough Towers are strong as is everything else in this buggy but I'm not a basher so maybe don't beat it up quite like you do perhaps. Make no mistake these are a TOUGH buggy. Some guys are reporting some rear shock shafts bending and with what your doing may be a good idea to pick some up.

yeah I read that about the rear shocks. My solution is to use the shocks I kept from my hobao hyperstar ( I already put hyperstar shocks on the front on my mugen ! )
by the way, what is the lenght of the rear eb48.3 shocks ? hobao hyperstar are 129mm from eye to eye

Back when the .3 was new, several folks went back to the old steering to get more. These days most everybody has gone back to the .3 parts as setups have gotten better.

You need to use both the older spindle and spindle carrier if you do this, as the newer .3 vehicles use a trailing design for this so the parts won't work together correctly unless you change both. That being said, yes, you can get more steering out of the old ones in some situations, with the side affect of being a slightly more darty or twitchy vehicle.

I don't want to make a new thread to ask this question, but what is the sportsman ebuggy class?
#1319
I am thinking about going to a big race and the classes for ebuggy is sportsman, open, or pro. I would have about 3 months of experience and less than 10 races by the time of the race so should I race sportsman or open? And would sportsman be beginner and open be intermediate in that situation?

Most important thing to remember, have fun and enjoy yourself, after all we are grownups playing with really expensive "toys".
