I've noticed that the play in the left and right steering idler arms are excessive. It has play where the shaft goes through between the skid plate and chassis, and then also where the screw goes through it connecting to the tie rod.
I'm wondering if there is something better or an aluminum replacement out there?

I found it. Hot-racing makes a ball bearing assembly.

that's the steering bellcrank, I had GPM aluminun steering assembly, and was a bit of improvement, but double stock steering assembly works better.

That's still plastic. Not ball bearings. The plastic wears too quickly and causes excessive steering linkeage play and then causing some binding which in turn leads to additional force demanded from the servos to turn the assembly left or right.

You can remove the plastic spacers, measure them, and get some ball bearings that size.
Did that with the steering of my LST XXL, works perfect!
