Thanks Philldoggg. I found a whole stock of plastic diff gears at my LHS so I'm stocked up and back on the road.

I'll make some more passes this weekend with a 45 tooth pinion instead of the 43 tooth on there now. Also gonna try a gyro to see if it helps the car go straighter. Hopefully maybe I can touch the 130s.

I know gyros are frowned on by some people. Do you ever use one?

nope,sorry never liked them myself. just get it going straight and roll on the throttle.

on a side note when you put you caster blocks in did you sand on the steering knuckle any? I always take a little off to make the steering smother.

Do you mean where the screws go in on the top and bottom of the knuckle where it touches the camber blocks? No I did not sand them but I am running aluminum knuckles. Should I still sand alumimum?

What battery do you run? Maxamps?

I sanded mine because they were way too tight and not free moving.
Maxamps. lol no not here.. went 119 on 3s gforce lipo.. and my 4s passes are on Turnigy nano-tech 65c. excellant lipo. you run a cap pack? helps the esc survive

Ill probably sand them a bit next time I have them off.

All the nanotech batteries I've had puffed up pretty bad. How much mah is your 4s? I was stuck at 111 mph for months and could not go any faster and couldnt figure out why. I switched from 3000 mah to 5000 mah and have been getting faster every since.

No cap pack here but perhaps I should get one.

I have a 4250 A-spec g2 65c pack. and yes spools on both front and rear.

If you're having issues keeping it straight, why not include a helicopter gyro on the steering channel like this guy.

Yes, I have a gyro on there now. I also geared it up 2 teeth on the pinion. I'll find out the results this weekend.

Which servo do you recommend using?

Since your budget is limitless, get the servo with the most torque, fastest speed and highest voltage if you plan on increasing BEC voltage.

yeah but nothing good, over the holiday weekend i managed to strip both diffs during a run. then clipped a curb because no brakes.. down for a week or so will parts come in.

I thought I was the only one stripping diffs lol. I stripped my rear diff twice this wknd too. Realized it wasnt shimmed properly. I got 3 shims in there now instead of 2. If it still keeps happening I will install alloy diff gears in the rear. Just waiting till it comes in.
