With a retail of $279.99 and a m.a.p. price of $199.99 that is going to be a hard sell when they can get other speed controls for less.

No Joke Kraig but there will be people who buy one. That is one tiny ESC. It's has more continuous amps than their V8 and ASP. They also say there is external programming by using the GM Commander charger.

Default Kraig,

do you remember what the quantum did cost when it was released?
The hobby shops couldn't get them in fast enough.

I will buy one since I take a GM over an LRP every day....

Default I have had four GMs...

and they were all worth the money. GM was the first to introduce new FET technology and new features. The "turbo" fuction and no extra programming unit in half the size. I can't believe they were not more popular. It took the rest forever to get it, but they all did. Now look that them. I don't like the extra programming tool, but the size is even smaller. Keep up the good work GM.

The reason GM speedos are not that popular here is that they got into that deal with Scooter who ran GM USA and f...ed up all the time.

I know people that are still missing esc's that they sent to him for repair.

Now that Horizo took over the US distribution , it's soo much better.

Default question Kraig....

what is this about a new chassis design for the XXX-S? I noticed it in your add. What changes were made to the chassis?

Horizon may be better than the people who used to service GM stuff, but not by much.

I have a V12 and a V3, and love GM speedos, but man do I hate horizon service. Their slow as dirt, and some of them are idiots. I sent my V12 into them to have the brakes checked out, and the thing came back to me with the case popped open and uncloseable because they got dirt or something on the adhesive side of the label, and burn marks on the case that weren't there when I sent it in. Basically, when I opened the box they sent it back in, the speedo was a mess!

Their take on it when I called....."it was like that when you sent it in". Yeah, okay! So now I take dated detail photos of anything I send to horizonhobbies. Not taking anymore chances with them.

GM's new speedo looks great. I'm not too fond of the external programing thing though. The small size is cool, but that power cap that Masami had on his 1/12 scale car was HUGE! Almost as big as the speedo. I hope thats not the size that will be required to run the speedo!
