Considering a Nitro Sedan
With a short summer season here in the PNW I have constantly battled with buying a Nitro Sedan. I love driving them, I do not love messing with foam tires and i don't like shelving the car for 9 months
but...
I am considering maybe buying a older kit to have to run.
What would be a good older kit with parts availability and reasonably priced parts? I would LOVE a NT1 but fear the price of maintenance is too high

I have an nt1 2013 for sale. Yes, X-ray parts are expensive.

The Serpent 747 was /is a great car and the spares are still available as it still shares Most of the suspension components with the new 748. Certainly the parts you are likely to break in an accident. There are a couple for sale in the for sale forum on this site - would be a very good buy.

Look at what works well where you race.
Do you want to by parts local or from Asia ?
If a good local hobby stocks parts for a car you like but the parts are dear.
If you only buy what you break than it's not to bad.
If you need to carry your own spare store to the track even if you get them for 1/2 the price out of Asia it will cost more in the long run...
The pain in the ass is breaking a $2 part in the first heat and having not parts on hand,, time to go home.
However if it's a good club most guys will lend you what you need if you replace it later..
So in a nut shell, what's the local club like?

P.S. The new mugen mtx6 is bullet proof, I have crash tested it many times and it's very robust, and very competitive.
