ok. im wandering how can there be so many tracks and no one racing,i have been looking around , and so i see Roxana here around STL,there this allens place,this new place in st charles i guess.and IRP in dekalb?(dunno how far that really is) is there a way to work with these places to like get this big(the 4 tracks normal guys combined)group of people to somewhat like keep a big turn out in a decent rotation? i dunno really what im saying, but i just think it would be nice to have this nice turn out at least like once a month...

Biggalz, I'm kidding about the St Charles track. It's not even open yet. I can't see it being even close to Roxanna. It's basically going to be xmods only.

Good racing last night guys.

Scott - every time I step it up, you step it up even further..... That qualifier with you, Mark and I makes for some close racing. That's too cool. If you hit one corner, it changes the whole dynamic of the race.

Next time I'm going back to the purple, purple / orange tires and get rid of the traction rolling. Evidently, I can't handle the supa traction you guys are throwing down. (or maybe the track just had killer bite last night).

I started running high 10's on a consistent basic today for the first time. I put a 12x2 Vantage Mod on there for a little bit and loved the extra speed but it didn't make much of a difference in the lap times because the only place you can go any faster is the straightaway. I also tried the purple-purple oranges today and liked them. It felt like I had a little less side bite and felt like they increased forward bite. I also tried a 3700 battery instead of my usual 3300, I didn't really feel like I went any faster but I only tried it once so far. I can't wait for next weekend to try and shave a couple more tenth's off my lap times.

What kind of oil do you use for a motor lathe? Can you use bearing oil?

I se you guys run oval on Sunday's. But I didnt see any mention of what classes and rules. I live near Hannibal Mo. There is about 5 of us that would consider coming to race sometime. Can someone please give me some info. Thanks Devin [email protected]

Dan - bearing oil has been working fine for me. I'm only putting the oil between the motor shaft and lathe v-blocks. My lathe recommends not using comm oil.

Good job on the high 10s. If you can run high 10s consistently (not hitting stuff), you'll be in the 28 / 29 lap pace.

Wish I could have made it today. I had the wifes B-Day today. Since I raced the Kyosho race on our anniversary, I chose to be around for the B-Day. Being considerate is tuff work

BTW - I ordered a new P/S for my V-Spec today (getting ready for the CRCRC race). Let's hope this carpet racing improves our buggy racing a bunch...

Greg- That was alot of fun with you and Mark! We are very closely matched and I feel like we're at the point where one small improvement could get us up with Steve and Drew! I think that within the next couple of weeks that we could start breaking into the 9's and hit that 30 lap mark.

Guys, just a progress report...

All of the backend crap is finally taken care of. The final phases of opening are now underway. We'll be laying down tile in the building this weekend, as well as installing the burglar alarm and counters/shelving.

Merchandise ordering is just about complete (Great Planes/Hobbico dealership to start, then moving on to other distributors), and merchandise delivery is expected late next week.

While I'm in the process of ordering, is there anything you guys would like us to carry that you typically don't see in other shops? We want to be your one-stop racing shop.

The web site (and forum) will be ready by the opening day. You'll not only be able to shop in store, but on the web as well, with shipping or available "will call" pick up. I may also throw up a "Pick up at Roxana" option as well for the locals.

We look forward to serving everyone shortly.
