Does anyone have the overall weight of the kit without electronics?

I added just a 1mm shim to the 3 posts, it didn't really help. I cannot even fit the second saddle in and that is without securing the battery plate with its nuts. maybe shimming the top deck would help with the battery but it would also add more unwanted tension to the rear belt tensioner.

I think the only option is a thinner battery pack, maybe a Vant, smc or Vampire.

thanks for the advice guys.

Belt would eliminate torque steer, if you have it.

VANTS are excellent!! Performance! Warantee! Etc, Etc! Price's are great.

They will fit in your YZ4 which is crucial as you know. Sounds like your not going the shorty route which is totally understandable, especially do to the added weight. You can also run brick pack. CRP has some of the VANT line up and they have a 15 percent off sale through tonight. Dirt Cheap RC will ship VANTS for free with the "illtryvant" code you can add during check out.

+1 on Vants. Also SMCs. I run both in square pack form and they work perfectly in the YZ4 and YZ2

Hi,

I"ll try shimming the posts, maybe the top deck too and I'll get a shorty.

Thanks for all the input GSMstorm, Norse, Antimullet, John Myall, Glarke, Zarathrustra and CCJD. It is good to know that so many people in the YZ-4 forum are willing to help.

I'll post the outcome of this once I solve it.

Thanks gents

Looking at your pics, my battery appears to be quite a bit shorter than yours. I was surprised, but I have a load more space than you.
Ill get to the batteries and measure them some time soon for comparison.

I've noticed a slightly puffed battery can fill that small clearance space easily.

No problem my friend. All the thread members are really help full.
My bad posting US sites to purchase Vant lipos as I didnt realize you were in Australia. I am sure there are some places in Aussie that carries them. You can always contact Vant directly if you are having problems locating them. I believe you can purchase them directly from them.
