Lightbulb BridgePort, CT ONroad track

Just wondering if any of you guys go there. I pretty much will be going there for a while especially when I get my real car. Traveling to brooklyn can get expensive as you hit the toll both both ways. The track is pretty clean, mainly remodded tennis court, so it's permanent and got that look of the tracks out in the midwest and all. Great stuff!! I may be going there this sunday. Racers/bashers report here.

Also, the LHS is not far from the track making it convenient. Here is the site.

Raced there last weekend. The track is great. Lots of traction. Capable of having 13 different configurations. Check Bruckner Hobbies web site for the schedule and race day pics.

Nice track!

But, for us folks that are vertically challenged, where's the drivers stand?

They do have a drivers stand there, but they didn't add in the pictures. I'm gonna see what's going on for tomorrow.

The one I prefer to go to is www.frracers.com For me it's not that far especially when traffic is clear (takes 40mins or so), but for you it's a heck of a travel. If I recall there are some nice permanent onroads near your area that are closer.

Nice track. The next time I come up there to visit relatives in Colchester, I think I'll stop by and run a few laps with guys. You do run electrics don't you??

Naw, www.frracers.com where I usually go run electrics. Bridgeport doesn't run electrics.

BARCAR is the club that collaborates with Bruckner Hobbies. They used to race down in Edison, NJ but started going to Bridgeport towards the end of this season.

Tom Baffer Sr is the race coordinator/director. He said that he would do electrics when they were still down in Edison but it never materialized. I'm not surprised either. He only really caters to the nitro racers anyway.

The FRRacers club catered to the outdoor electric group since they started this year. It was basically a group of racers that already race together but it seems that the electric bug has caught a few nitro guys. They are more accomodating than bruckner ever was towards the electric following.

FRR actually been racing electrics way back, but that class sorta died...just like the 235mm class . Glad to see electrics back up again and many new racers with electrics have showed up to enjoy the fun.

Hey Guys!

Our next race will be Sunday November 6 2005!

We will race 190mm & 1/12 Electrics and 200mm Tc's and 1.8th Nitro On-Road cars

Onroadracer and HarKonnenD,

Tom Baffer Sr. is BARCARC'S race director having equal interests with seven other members in the club. We all invested equally to improve the racing conditions in our area for everyone.
I don't know what you mean by 'collaboration w/Bruckner Hobbies'.
We 'Collaborate' with Ace's Nitro and Brooklyn Hobbies as well.
Next Year even more Hobby Shops will sponsor races as well.

As far as electrics go, we said it before and will say it again.
'If 4 or more racers show up to run with electric cars, or 235mm cars the class's will be run'
If no one shows to run electric, how do you run the class?

If theres anything we can do to accomodate you, please feel free to post your thoughts.

Chavo
