Another RS4 Rally thread?

Love this thread. I'm planning on doing some fun stuff like this for my Tamiya Lancia 037. I'm copying the shell, even though I have a TA03R converted to S spec, I think i'm going to build the Lancia with some modern off road car underneath it. Somehow shorten the wheelbase to that magic 237mm.

Making some progress on number 1. Got it about half of the decals on. Got my new wheels. I wish I would have got some offset rims for the rear. Cleaned up the shocks and installed them. Kind of dry fitting the electronics for now.
Picked these wheels because they are close to what the real car ran

Did some work on another one today. We'll just call this one No. 3. Took this cheap brushless setup that I bought to replace the 15 year old brushed setup from No.1:
And made it not so hideous:
A little black paint and new wires and it doesn't look so toyish
I'm probably just going to finish putting this together and it will become eBay fodder. This was pretty much a bunch of spare parts I have laying around and need to get rid of. I just can't get the Orange Rx to bind with my DX3E correctly. For some reason the throttle channel will not bind. If I hook the ESC to AUX, I can get it to work, but not on THR channel.

Finished up the wiring on No. 3. Going to give her a quick dusting and put it up for sale here soon. This was my first time shortening servo wire and I really like how it turned out. Good luck getting a vintage RS4 wired any neater than this.
Going to start the arduous process of stickering this puppy up
On a side note, I got No. 2 out for a bit before winter hits.

Found this sweet morsel of old school badassery on the 'bay.
I think I might have paid a little much for it, but it's got a lot of sweet stuff on it including an A248 Motor Mount, A232 Graphite Chassis, shiny MIP's and a ton of spare parts. Not gonna lie, I pretty much bought it for the graphite chassis. It's all in pretty nice shape.
In other RS4 news, I couldn't stand to see a vintage Pro2 torn to shreds in a box(the one that gave up all the sweet parts for my shelf queen), so I put it back together with some old school go-fasties that I had laying around. She will now go out to pasture, leading an easy life of retirement on the shelf. Or maybe eBay.

That Rally is sweet! Funny you mention the CF chassis. I sold one not to long ago. I had picked it up off of eBay when I won a cheap RS4 roller. I really wish I had hung onto it...
At least I still have a few pictures of it! lol

Yeah Mike, my CF chassis isn't quite that nice, but it will work for a shelf queen until I can find a new one. Did a little more work to the princess. Scored a almost perfect Novak XXL Rx and she got a little more purple in the form of a motor mount spacer and some cone washers.
Bling
Did a little more work to the body, as well.

Do any of you know where I can get a new front bumper/body post? :/
Any aftermarkets? same questions go for the two speed trans
Thanks!

And for you brushed motor guys, how many turns are your motors and how many teeth pinion/spur gears are you using?

To be honest, all of my brushed setups are pretty much for show so I couldn't give you much advice there. For the bumper and body posts, you just have to keep an eye out for them on eBay. I found a brand new set a while back and had to pay shipping from Austrailia to get it. Same goes for the two speed, but those things must be made of gold for how much they fetch.
