The 14' was announced on October 2nd. We're about a month away if they hold true to previous reveal of their cars.

Would be interesting to see if that date changes this year due to the worlds starting on Oct 6th

I really want to see Xray make a purpose build shaft drive car for VTA. A fiber glass version with Xray quality. However good, the TC4 is out dated and the all the newer model are not designed well for lower speeds, tires & roll center. With the popularity of the Awesomatix, I really think the market is ripe for such a design and marketed for VTA.

If Xray releases a shaft drive car for 2015 (along side a new T4, I mean), I'm going to be a bit upset as I just bought a Tamiya EVO.6. I've had a hell of a time with the transmission build and have been longing for Xray fit and finish. I'd buy one in a heartbeat, though

Default NT1 2014 shocks

NT1 2014 shocks , Yes please , have been using them the last 14 days on low/medium grip asphalt , super easy to drive , and better lap times. Raceberry towers and Yok pink springs

Were the shocks a straight forward fit?

Yes, but I found adding a 2mm spacer on the shock shaft, inside the shock, helped with the preloads. They are about that much longer than the t3 shocks, otherwise a perfect fit. I should say, that's with the Bezerk RC towers, I've not tested any others.

What pistons and oil in the NT1 shocks?

And for comparison, what springs, oil and pistons were you using on the standard T4 shocks?

That's quite a lot of damping, might be why it was struggling for grip with the short shocks. When the grip is med/low in the UK I run 350, if the grip comes up I go to 400. Thats with 4x1.1 pistons. I've tried going thicker when the grip is low and it always goes slower and feels horrible. Have you tried going thinner?

I have the Raceberry towers and a set of T3 alloy shocks, I don't find them any better than the short shocks (they were going cheap so it was worth a try).
