yes i do believe that they are both the same have a good source that said that they are but cant tell you who the source is

Yup they are the exact same motor. Just diffrent lables. Orion makes them both. Then only diffrence in motors between Peak and Orion is when you get to the Mods. Even then they are exactly the same except for the winds.

I think they come setup differently, I remember reading an online review of both and the dyno showed the orion was touqier. I think at their test rate the peak pulled around 21000 revs and the orion just over 18000. Sorry I can't give a link, I forgot where I read it!

Could anyone tell me what the difference is between the black and blue endbell V2s?

Black endbell makes more power and is designed for touring cars. Blue endbell is more efficient and is designed for off-road trucks and buggies.

So basically the black endbell has stiffer springs and harder brushes?

Well, i know the Jukka Steenari version (green endbell) just has harder springs then the regular V2s.

I think its just got to do with different spring/brush combos.
