If you Buy the Hara Version 2.1 or the VFS1 Pro Compitition than you are gettign the same ESC just that the Hara version comes with one of his setups...
Here is what you would want to buy..
http://www.speedtechrc.com/store/ebp...nid=57&id=5241
it comes with not onl;y the ESC but the programmer which is important because the you will want to change some of the setups in it...
Right now there is not a speed control that has the tunability than this one.
I have two....LOL

Hey but its your money.....if you wnat cheaper than I would look no further than the Novak gtx....great little esc also, just not as tunable.
The Keyence ESC's I have not used so I have no opinions.
The LRP QC2 is also another good cheaper ESC but they have a new one coming the QC3.
ANy of those I would say will be fine for what ever level of racing you are into.
These are my opinions from what I have experienced.
The VFS1's are in my RDX and my YRX 12
The QC2 is in my B4
The GTX is in my BJ4
SO I have and are using them all...
I like how easy the QC2 and the GTX are to setup but if I want the advantage in Touring Car I am going VFS1 pro comp everytime..

Oh the version "J" is just the same as the non J but it has the wires soldered on the ESC already...

Plus in addition you can go the VFS thread here and get all your questions answered usally same day..Plus alot of guys are usign the VFS esc's now so at the track you will probably get some help there as well.
I hope I have helped...

Keyence Zero V Extreme/ Rapida Pro or....
KO Propo VFS-1 Pro/ VFS-1 Pro Comp.... simply two of the best out. I've had them ALL except Tekins (and I've heard GOOD things about them except for the size).
Quote from Shookie-
I like how easy the QC2 and the GTX are to setup but if I want the advantage in Touring Car I am going VFS1 pro comp (or just the Pro... -JB) everytime..

Default Novak & LRP

Why are you forgetting two of the quickest and easiest to prgram escs on the market....
Novak GTX...bulletproof and ultrafast
LRP Quantam 1&2.. I prefer the Version 1 as the waterproof version sealed all the heat inside....

I didn't did you read my post I did mention...I like them for off road for there ease of setup but as far as being better I disagree...
If the VFS1 pro/ pro comp wasn't one of the best why would there be 6 exact replicas....Here is the list that I could think of exact copies with different pre-installed setups..
1) Hara Twister's
2) Corally's new one
3) Rayspeed
4) Yokomo Masami's
5) Alex Racing's ne one
6) Futaba's newest
I believe that there are even a couple of more copies but those are the ones off the top of my head..
